Miles POV
I stirred up from my sleep by the small sound of people hushing around me. Opening my eyes, I saw a doctor and a nurse doing the rounds and check-ups to a sleeping Kathy.
Yes, I came here last night while Kathy was sleeping and had another quiet conversation with her baby bump. I decided to stay and relax on the small soft couch inside Kathy’s private suite. I knew she would be upset about seeing me, but I will try my best to show her my care. I couldn’t rest the day yesterday, can’t focus on doing my office work since I’ve been thinking about Kathy all day. What gave me relief was when my mom sent me secret photos and some videos of Kathy almost every hour. She appeared to be looking well, and her colors were starting to come back.
