The light goes out when the door behind Celeste and me closes. There is nothing visible except a hint of embers. I stand still, trying to adjust to the lack of light sources and ready myself for a fight. Celeste moves around. “I can’t see anything. What are you doing, Celeste?” I do not know who or what is in the room with us. Do I share the room with a real or fake Wolfprincess? I can be alone, for all I know. “I’m making a portal,” Celeste answers me. “You can do that?” I ask, not believing my ears, and the stone in my gut grows heavier.
