Elizabeth went to a particular effort to avoid Connie. It wasn’t difficult to hear where she was when she wasn’t being filmed, and she also smelled of the kind of cheap synthetic perfume usually worn by high school girls who are new to the world of make-up and perfume. It was, predictably, her own brand. The bottle she spritzed herself from several times a day was the same tacky gold with black Gothic lettering that her make-up came in.
