Elizabeth was suspicious of the fact Connie wasn’t around, and she checked the bedroom thoroughly before locking the door. She was glad of the fact she was alone, though. It was difficult to stay anything close to normal the way she was and she was finding it overwhelming being around so many new sounds and smells with her senses more attuned that she was exhausted.
