Coincidence or Fate

“Are you just going to stand there, Connor?” Faust’s voice startled the dumbfounded  Connor back to reality. He looked to his Boss’ way before he took one last glance back at Sierra’s running figure.           He went inside the limousine, still with that shocked look in his eyes and Faust could understand his feelings. He must think he was seeing an apparition or a ghost after seeing Sierra. Why he felt the same way and so much more.            He felt his hands burn at the memory of her soft lips. It took every inch of his self-control not to claim and taste them. Somehow he imagined it would be sweet and addicting — sinfully delicious.            Ugh, good heavens. How long has it been since I had a woman to warm my bed? If I had agreed to take one of the ones lining up at me a long time ago maybe I won’t feel so worked up with that little seductress.            But that’s the thing, he never felt so worked up with any woman before, no, after he met ‘her’ — the mysterious woman who looked a lot like Sierra. Maybe that’s the reason why he’s so drawn to her. Who knows? But there’s no denying it. He wants her and he’ll make sure he’ll have her.           He looked outside the car window and chuckled to himself when he remembered how she fell in front of him. It was quite a view indeed.            Delectable. Yes that was the right word.           He couldn’t resist the urge to lick his lips and gulped down his drool when his eyes gazed upon her perfectly shaped and firm ass. God, he even had to clasp his hands together to stop himself from running them under her skirt! The image of her bent down on his bed, naked and wanting while he spanks her pretty little ass crimson made his member twitch under his pants again it ached.           f**k! I’ll make sure to make her pay for this. Soon. He promised.            Somehow he doubted it would be that easy. The woman had guts, baring her fangs and claws at him but that only made him adore her more. He was challenged, and he loved being challenged. It’s been a while since anybody dared do that especially a woman. It would surely be worth his time, taming the little kitten. He grinned at the thought of the things he’d do to her.            Sierra... he let her name roll and linger in his tongue. I’ll make you writhe in pleasure and beg for more.            I’ll make sure she’ll not only submit to me, but she’ll also be begging to have my hands on her all the time.            His imagination was cut short when he heard Connor click his tongue.            “This doesn’t make any sense. How can she look so much like her?” Connor spoke after a while. His eyes were still fixed on the way to the house which they left behind.            “Trust me, I’m as curious as you are. If I hadn’t seen her first hand I wouldn’t even believe it myself.”           “Could it be that she’s her daughter?”           Faust raised an eyebrow at him making him easily understand that it was impossible.            “Yeah, right. Her parents are of different names and are totally different people.” Connor answered his own questions. They have seen Sierra’s files. Her records from where she was born to her educational and occupational background say she had a simple, normal life.            She had been completely orphaned just a year ago. Her father died in a car accident while her mother, of an illness. She was left with a seventeen-year-old brother to look after and a pile of debt to settle. Her mother used to own a small restaurant that is now for sale. Most likely to cover at least some of the debts her parents left behind after an expensive medical treatment that didn’t even do anything to save her mom from cancer. He doubted it will do though.           The files did look authentic enough but there were no records of her ever joining any legal race before nor being interested in it. Surely, if she even joined underground racing then, they would have caught on to her a long time ago but no. So how come this Sierra looked a lot like that woman and even stranger a racer just like her?            Connor looked at Faust. He already took advantage of her situation. That should be enough to entice her to jump on to him.           “Could it be that you were hoping ‘she’ was the racer?” There was no doubt in Connor’s voice when he asked Faust. He knew how crazed he was in finding that woman despite their ten-year age gap. “Is this the reason why you wanted to get your hands on Sierra when you saw the footage?”            “Yes.” Faust leaned back at the car seat. “I was hoping it was ‘her’ but I was still surprised to see Sierra and how much they looked so much alike.”           “You know she can’t be her. There’s no way she wouldn’t have aged and look the same as fifteen years ago!”           “Don’t I know that? But her driving skills... They’re the same as hers. You saw that too, Connor. We’ve been in this business for a decade and did you see anyone else with such skills?”            “Yes, and you almost lost your leg and everything because of it. I thought you were past your petty childhood feelings, Faust.” Connor flatly retorted. Faust stayed silent for a moment. Connor was right. The main reason why they took on the business of underground racing even when they don’t need to was to find her. He thought he did.            Three years ago, there was another racer who won in one of their biggest races. They were watching the race live for the first time and when Faust saw the racer’s driving skills he rushed to meet the person who was obviously a woman basing on her figure. But she drove away even before Faust could get near her.            As if that could stop him. He grabbed the nearest available car, the one from the losing racer and followed her car.            Faust almost caught up to her but she suddenly disappeared. When he came back, he was spatting some nonsense that he saw her from the window and that it was her. Connor doubted that. The driver did resemble ‘her’ body, but would it be possible to have the same body after twelve years? It’s illogical but Faust won’t hear of it.           “I wasn’t hallucinating then Connor. I saw her.”          “Let’s say you did. But isn’t it enough that she caused you to be like that, and almost lost everything you worked hard to build?” Connor reminded him about what happened a year after.  He went crazy and looked for her at the same place where he lost her every day, especially when he’s drunk. “You won’t be in that accident if you only moved on from tour teenage feeling for her. For all, you know it could be Sierra whom you spotted the night of your accident.”          “Sierra?” It’s possible. He vaguely remembered what exactly happened that night, but he did remember ‘her’ walking on the other side of the road. He stepped on the gas and drove the car like a maniac towards the intersection to make a U-turn and catch up to her pushing bearing the red light. He was so adamant to reach her that he didn’t notice a nine-wheeler truck coming fast at him. The next thing he knew was hearing the ambulance’s siren as he was being rushed to the hospital.            According to Connor, he was in a coma for two months. Their enemies took advantage of his situation and tried to steal away his companies, his brothels, and even the orphanage. Some of their allies turned their backs on them and betrayed them. But Connor took care of everything while he recovered and after that, he focused on getting everything back to normal.            Or at least everything. He almost lost his legs in that accident. They were badly damaged and he had to undergo almost a hundred surgeries to fix it. Connor was fuming like a mad dog when he learned what happened and what caused it. He understood where he was coming from. Because of the accident, Connor had to taint his hands with the traitors’ blood and he never liked that, being named the reaper, for him it was pathetic, something he was never proud of despite being advantageous to their reputation. In this line of business, it pays to be the devil himself and he would forever be indebted to him.            “Yes, Sierra.” Faust went back to the present with Connor’s reply. “Think of it. Like I said there’s no way ‘she’ would look the same till now. If you see the exact same face then that could be Sierra. If that’s the case, then she’s to blame for your accident.”           Faust went back to his thoughts not bothering with the darkness in Connor’s voice. He was thinking of something else.           “What did you say the cause of her father’s accident again? A car accident?”           “Yes...” Connor’s eyes narrowed showing irritation with Faust’s sudden question and not bothering to see his point.           “And That was two years ago?” Faust asked, his face more serious than before.            “Yes... why would you be interested in... Oh f**k!” His eyes went wide when he realized what Faust must be thinking of.            Connor went back to Sierra’s files that was saved in his phone to reread it. There it was, the place where her father met a car accident.            “Faust, it was the same place. He was one of the casualties who died on the spot the same night of your accident!”
