After dinner, the cool night air brushed gently against their faces as Georgia and May walked to the car. May unlocked the doors, and they both got in, full and a little sleepy. “That food hit the spot,” May said as she started the engine. “I might not eat breakfast tomorrow.” Georgia laughed softly. “Same. I feel like I’m going to sleep like a baby tonight.” They drove in comfortable silence for a while. The streets weren’t too busy, just a few cars passing here and there. The city lights outside made everything glow. “You sure you don’t want to come crash at my place tonight?” May asked, glancing at Georgia. Georgia shook her head. “Nah, thanks though. I need some alone time. And I still have to call Mark later.” “Alright,” May said. “But if you get bored, you know where I stay.”
