Back inside the restaurant, Georgia and Lucian stepped in together. The soft clink of glasses and hum of conversations greeted them again. May looked up from her drink with a wide grin, eyes dancing between the two of them. "Took you long enough," she teased. Damien raised an eyebrow. "Did you two get lost or were you just staring at the moon out there?" Lucian slid back into his seat smoothly. "We just needed air. Your jokes were choking us." May laughed, shaking her head. "That sounds about right." Georgia sat beside him, her cheeks a little pink. "Let’s not start again. I don’t have the energy to keep saving Lucian from Damien’s wild mouth." Damien grinned. "Save him? He should thank me for adding spice to his boring life." Lucian sipped his water calmly. "I like my life boring."
