"This is too decent, I don’t think it fits my frame." he murmured to himself after glancing at himself in front of his medium mirror pasted on the wall.
Today's his first day in his new job and Jay could swear he was both nervous and excited, add that he's a little afraid and embarrassed after meeting his supposedly new boss.
'I thought he was just a weird handsome looking guy lost in the supermarket..' he thought.
It didn’t take long for him to be accepted and finalize his papers if ever they did some qualifications because he believes there's no way he would enter such outstanding company, though he hasn't known yet. He was fidgeting to just apply in nursery school or somewhere else that his knowledge can handle but a sudden ring from the same company started his morning and shocked, happy dwelling inside him.
Now, though he's dissing himself because the attire is too formal for him to the point a little pride is hanging on top of his chest, he couldn't help but giggle before clearing his throat and acting tough. Silly..
He left the apartment two hours early, afraid to be late. He looked for the landlady before leaving but she's not around, shrugging it off, he left the complex.
As he expected, he's too early but relieved. The sun isn't even rising in the horizon and the city's still covered in dark, few stores start opening and he tries to look for the nearest yet cheap cafe he could afford.
Glancing at the tall building in front of the establishment where his chosen cafe was, it draws a gloomy yet elegant aura in his eyes. Jay unconsciously follows its structure and how the silhouette of a tall building still makes its own appearance and presence. Just like the owner, yep.
He mouthed a little "thank you" when a cup of freshly brewed coffee struck his nose. Its aroma is waking up his nerves. Looking at the clock, he still has time, so he pulls a little notebook and lists what he needs to do. There weren't any specific descriptions about his job, the caller said he'll find out later, but that only added to his nervousness and confusion. Hope it's not illegal, they look decent though..

"I am Selestine, I've been working here for more than five years." a lady that looks like in her 20's guided him on the upper floor, she's waiting down for him in the lobby which Jay finds unnecessary because he expects to find it out himself.
Now, he's carefully following her lead with his little notebook and pen for him to write down what he thinks he needs to remember to last in this job.
"The President's office is on the top floor and he owns it, so when you walk out of the elevator you'll be directed in his office but no one has the courage to do so." she explained and Jay noted the directed part. "The main offices, just like cubicles for each employee, are located 3 floors below his office, he also doesn’t agree to have meetings inside his office so he often booked a private restaurant."
He nodded, listening very enthusiastically.
"He is very strict to everyone doing their jobs, you can say your soon colleagues are very competitive and direct, but don’t worry." She said the last part in a friendly manner so he was confused. "You'll be okay." she added.
"Yeah.. cool."
He stood on her side quietly while waiting for the elevator to dinged open and carry them inside, when they're escalating, Jay didn’t even dare to look because he suddenly felt being watched.
"Your day will probably start at six in the morning and eleven eve, that's only your boss's decision now."
"My boss?"
He was baffled, he had been introduced to all floor supervisors and rooms but she still was not directing her about his position. What if I'm a janitor? That's decent, though.
His mind suddenly stopped wondering when she stepped out of the elevator and left him in his trance.
"You can guide yourself up, don’t worry." Selestine said and clicked a button before pulling herself out, he didn’t dare to move in a snapped, he is too preoccupied.
Jay can only see the buttons pushed, it doesn’t have any label on what floor but the elevator is moving upwards he can tell, so he waited patiently and nervously. He had the courage to look at his reflection, he checked his clothes, from head to toe. Straightening the crumpled parts of his polo before brushing his soft hair that sometimes poked his eyes.
He felt the elevator stopped and he heaved a deep sigh when it slowly slid open. The first thing he sees is a glass wall that perfectly shows the city's morning scene, the sun slowly rising behind the other building shedding some lights for people down there. Out of it, a swivel chair was facing it's back at him but Jay can see strands of hair flocking out on top.
Hell no..? He murmured in mind.
"Goodmorning Sir." he bravely greeted when he realized he was on top floor and he had stopped by his boss's office. How foolish of me!
Jay remained calmly yet frozen in his tracks as he watched the swivel chair slowly spinning in his direction till it revealed his no other handsome yet strange good looking guy from the supermarket.
It's the way he looks at him that makes him shrunk on his shoulders and feel so little of himself, literally and figuratively. It feels like the man is looking down at him yet he can feel a slight strange of it is not something he should be offended by.
His same arrogant and strange aura radiating from him, his jet black hair that shines and the most part of his face that Jay doesn’t want to meet halfway, his eyes are extremely aggressive.
"Don’t just stand there and sit here." he commanded that he immediately obey, like he is his robot.
Pushing all his thoughts aside, Jay never thought getting assigned what his job would be inside this company is nerve wrecking. He still had to go under numerous heart palpitations.
"Do you want your office outside or here?" his boss suddenly asks, eyes never leaving his frame and it's getting uncomfortable to sit still.
"Pardon?"
"Do you want your office place here? It'll be easy since you'll be my assistant."
