"I don't think I can wait, I just need it now."- Summer Walker, Girls Need Love
The celebrations of Silas becoming alpha was a huge party with booze and a lot of food. Sophia danced with Silas and his little brother Omen who had been shy in meeting her. When the dust of his father's defeat had settled the thirteen-year-old boy had shyly greeted her, gold eyes to the ground and a blush on his cheeks making her giggle.
Sophia had, of course, hugged him gushing about how cute he was making Omen blush even harder and look at his brother wide-eyed. Silas had just laughed ruffling his brother's hair and soon they were whisked to the pack lands to be celebrated.
When the party was winding down, Silas had looked at smiling Omen and whispered, "You okay little brother?" Omen nodded slowly and whispered, "Yeah...I'm just still slightly shaken." Silas looked at a pale Hayley and back to his brother, "Omen, the only way you would have been able to force a shift is if you were injured close to death or mated. Did he hurt you?"
Omen shook his head and mumbled, "No, ugh he tried to make me go through the chosen mate trials with Rachel." Growling Silas scowled at their mother who refused to look him in the eye. Sophia comforted Omen who let the pretty witch and grinned when she asked, "Are you okay? Did he make you...?" Omen shook his head, red in the face making Sophia smile.
"No...I refused to do it. He said it would kill me if I didn't. But I didn't care, my mate would just fall ill considering I haven't met her. If she was weak she would have died, I wasn't going to do that to her."
When the part was done and there were more drunk wolves than sober, Silas called it and he and Sophia went to his bedroom.
She held him throughout the night as his body ached from the acceptance of the title as alpha. As he pulled that power, that energy into his body, it seemed to resonate through him as he slept causing him slight pain. Nothing he hasn't felt before, but enough to have him leaning on his mate for comfort.
When he woke up in the morning, Silas no longer looked eighteen, but now twenty-one. His body hard and toned. When he pulled himself from the mirror, Silas was eager to hunt down his little mate. Finding her tending to little wolves who've hurt themselves in some way.
He watched her smiling as Sam and Leslie Huntsman as they sat their twelve-year-old son on a bench in front of her. He had three gashes on his leg and they were bloody and deep.
Sophia grabbed a jar and some potions and began to grind things into a bowl. When she dropped some kind of oil and then lit a fire they all scrunched up their noses at the strong smell. But she then rushed to the boy's side and asked, "What's your name?"
The kid sniffled and whispered, "Zeus." Sophia smiled at him kindly, "Awesome name. Okay, this paste I'm going to put on your leg, it'll seal it closed and keep it from getting infected but it's going to hurt when it's first applied. Sort of a burning sensation but it's only for the first few seconds. After it takes all pain and starts to heal you. But you have to be strong okay?"
Zeus nodded and whispered, "I can do it."
Sophia smeared her fingers in the paste and then began to gently put it over the boy's gashes.
Zeus' eyes glowed gold as his wolf helped him take the pain of the paste. As Sophia finished covering the three gashes, Zeus slumped in relief as the pain seemed to disappear. "Whoa." he sniffled looking down surprised. Sophia giggled and wrapped the wound, "There you go love." Standing she ruffled Zeus' hair, "Be careful with the claws cutie."
When they were gone and Sophia had cleaned up, Silas had walked up behind her and whispered, "Did I hear my mate call another guy cute?" Sophia smirked turning to face her mate and looking up at him innocently, "No of course not."
Kissing her gently, Silas asked, "When do you go back to school?" Sophia hummed, "Tonight. There's something we're doing tomorrow and Topaz would have my head if I missed it." Silas laughed, "Very well." Kissing his mate seductively Silas whispered, "Well then let me thank you for missing out on fun and school the last three days to stand beside me."
Sophia rolled her eyes, "You're my mate, you fight I'm fighting. Besides, I did my school work here and sent it to my teachers. I'm going to graduate it's mostly about just...well memories these days."
Silas laughed, "We'll make some. But...." Coughing he looked down making Sophia smile, "What?" Silas hummed unsurely and Sophia grinned, "What?" Silas sighed, "Don't...don't be alone with that guy." Sophia nodded, "I'm not even talking with Ezra, but as you wish."
Silas nodded, "Good."
He then preceded to kiss her making her moan into his mouth. When they pulled apart they realized they were being stared at by a couple of pack members. All of them walked away quickly and Sophia blushed, "Are we being improper?"
Silas shook his head, "Nah, I think it's mostly...the men of my bloodline have always been harsh. Cold. Domineering. Not me. And not my older brother Jackson. Or Omen even. We were alpha's but we're nothing like Samuel."
Sophia c****d her head to the side, "Well then...maybe you're guys are like your mother?" Silas scoffed, "Wimps who watch their children get beaten? I don't think so." Sophia sighed, "That's not fair Silas. You know the hell you went through as his son? Well, what do you think she as the woman who had three of his kids went through with him?"
Silas sighed feeling like an ass for saying such a cold statement, "Good point."
Sophia kissed him again, "She'll talk when she's ready."
Suddenly they both felt an unfamiliar presence and headed outside. Sophia looked at the wolf standing in front of the house surrounded by the pack. He scowled when he saw them and sneered, "Pathetic mating!"
Spitting on the ground he cursed, "Weak witch."
Sophia's eyes narrowed and lightning struck overhead, "You want to repeat that?" She asked amused. The wolf's chin jerked up and then he looked at his pack mates, "I went to see Alpha Samuel. He told me that if our new luna is so powerful if she thinks she can carry an alpha heir she must do the True Luna Trials."
Silas growled as Sophia looked around confused as hell.
"What is that?" She whispered to Silas.
