Ryder POV
Days went by and we were back to our routine. Not for Kimberly, anyway.
On the day Blaise was announced to be the new staff, I felt a shift in the air, and I didn’t like it a bit. Was it because of the smile he sent Kimberly’s way when he was introducing himself in front of the student body? Or was it the way Kimberly beamed when she found out the new staff was him?
“Oh, my gosh! It’s Blaise! It’s him!” Kimberly gasped. Allona and Kira turned their heads to her. It looked like Kimberly had told the girls about him already, as their eyes rounded knowingly.
She would always be excited when we passed by each other in the hallways. I didn’t want to think about the first time they talked to each other after the introductions.
“Kimberly!” We heard someone call her after breakfast
