“So you did all of those things to Micah, and he just accepted you like it was nothing?” Mom asked. Ever since we returned, she and my sister had been on my ass about the way I've treated Micah. I get that it was wrong of me to do so, but I couldn't control myself most time.
“He didn't just forgive me, I had to fight hard for it,” I replied, lamely, of course. I'm still surprised that Micah decided to give me a chance after all the things that I've done to him. I'm such a disgrace for a mate.
“Well, in my opinion, he shouldn't have forgiven you so easily. Someone who marked someone else without their consent and even went as far as abusing that person, does not deserve to be forgiven.” My sister Alena, Lena for short said, making me groan.
“It was mostly Shane who did that. He took over and…" Mom slammed the knife down on the kitchen counter that she was using to prepare sandwiches, making me flinch from fear whenever she got like that.
Mom's wolf, Sasha took over and trust me, you would rather not mess with them when she's in control.
“Haven't I or Dahlia taught you anything?” Sasha asked. I frowned as I tried to remember the teachings that I had gotten from either of them, but came up short.
“Nope, can't seem to remember,” I replied, which seems to be the wrong answer because I received a blow to the head which was not hard, but still.
I got up and moved a little further away from her, I wasn't going to stand there and allow them to abuse me.
“We taught you to love your mate and to treat them with respect. It's your fault, you're the reason he's like this.” Sasha said while pointing behind me. I turned and saw Dad standing there with a frown on his face.
“What did I do now?” Dad asked as he made his way over to Sasha, trying to take one of the sandwiches, but she slapped his hand away, which had him pouting.
“He's got your personality, it's a good thing you're not abusive though because I would have rejected you like nobody's business.” I chuckled a bit but stopped when a glare was sent my way.
“That's not true, and you know it, woman. I can be a bit possessive because it's in my nature to be, but don't mix my personality with his, I'm nothing like him.” That's not true, Dad's actually worse, but I wasn't going to call him out for that.
“You have a lot of making up to do with Micah. Too bad he's pregnant for you because that shouldn't have happened. Leave from my sight, I don't want to see you right now.” I held my head down as my heart began to pick up pace and left after Sasha had said that. There was no use in arguing with her because she was right.
I have a lot of making up to do, I have to redeem myself.
And the only way I can do that is to make sure that Micah and my pup come first.
