The adventure begins

(Micah) It's the following day now, and everyone was leaving, that's everyone except Arlo, who was checking me and making sure that I was bruised free. He was like a mother hen, not wanting to leave until he made sure that I was alright. Regardless of my protest, he proceeded to take my shirt off and turn me around to check my back. He then made his way towards my shorts, and that's where I had to stop him. I would have allowed him to take a peak, yes, but not under so many watchful eyes, and not when Logan was standing here staring at me. So, I stopped him and put my shirt back on. “Happy?” I asked, making him nod. He then turned to glare at Landon, who smirked at him. Everyone knew that Arlo's glare was not threatening, so they found the fun in making his life miserable because of it. “You can smirk all you want. But if I had found a scratch on him, I would have cut your d**k off. I don't care if Micah loves that thing; I would have severed it from your body and sent it to no man's land. I can do that, you know, I will do that.” Arlo’s threat hung in the air, his tone dead serious despite the almost comical way he delivered it. Landon’s smirk faded, replaced by a look of genuine concern, while Logan stifled a laugh. The room seemed to hold its breath for a moment, caught between Arlo’s intense gaze and the awkwardness. “Alright, alright,” I interjected, trying to diffuse the situation. “Let’s not make this any more dramatic than it needs to be. Landon, don’t provoke Arlo. Arlo, calm down; we’re all fine here.” Arlo’s glare softened as he reluctantly turned his attention back to me. “Just be careful, okay? I mean it, Micah. I know you think that you're tough, but even the strongest person need to take care of themselves.” He said while giving me a small smile. “Will do,” I said, giving him a reassuring smile. “You’ve made your point,” I replied. Landon raised an eyebrow, his smirk returning as he glanced at Arlo. “You know, for someone who’s not very intimidating, you sure do make quite the impression.” Arlo’s scowl deepened, but he seemed to let go of his frustration as he realized the comment was intended more as a tease than an insult. “Yeah, well, I don’t need to be intimidating to look out for my best friend.” With that, Arlo gave me a final, scrutinizing look before heading toward the group. The tension eased, and the atmosphere lightened as everyone prepared to leave. “Let’s get going,” Jacob said, breaking the lingering awkwardness. I smiled at Arlo one last time, and after a series of hugs from my family, Jacob teleported them out of there after making sure that no one was watching. I breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that I was only here with Landon. “Well, that was something,” Landon said, making me laugh. “I thought that I was the overprotective one, but the roles have been reversed. In school, I was way more annoying than that when it came to him.” I said while recalling some of the things that I had done that I wasn't very proud of. “Yeah, you were a menace. So, what do you want to do now?” Landon asked; my smile grew as I thought it was something. “Swimming!” I shouted while pulling him along with me. “We are going to the pool, and I'm going to wear those clothes that you bought for me.” I was so excited; I didn't care if it made Landon grumble in our room. There's no way he can change his mind, I would just remind him of the way he had made me feel yesterday. I know that's a sick thing to do. But when you want something, there is no Mister Nice Guy. After we got ready and Landon loaded my phone with tons of pictures and videos, we were now on our way to the pool. This is where the real fun begins.
