The brother of Cranaus who is said to have been poisoned during the war by the lord of Mordor banished Perseus who was as at then of age twenty three from Athens and assumed the throne. He died of a heart disease and crowned his son Oscar to be king after him before his death. Since then, Perseus decided to never reach Athens or associate himself with Athens army neither did he ever helped them when they call to kings for help in battle. He was not a king in Sparta, but he is almost glorified in Sparta and accepted by the people of Sparta for his nobility, strength and wisdom which they say is the likes of ancient Perseus son of Zeus. Perseus speech broke the silence when he said, "We'll ride to her rescue tomorrow at dawn." The people rejoiced and everyone present hailed him as though he were their king. Frida was a bit happy again and walked up to him saying, "Thank you Perseus for all you do." "You don't need to thank me, thank Sparta our home and the people who look after another as if they were the treasure of the city." Perseus whispered. "Can I go with you please!" She begged "No you can't, you have no idea how dangerous a battle could be" Perseus said in attempts to frighten her. "I want to know now Perseus please, am old enough now". "No, not that old, almost. Just get to eighteen okay". He assured as he lead her by the hand towards a building. "But I'll be eighteen next two weeks, what's the difference!" She complained "The difference is time. At eighteen you will start thinking more faster and accurate than it is now and to handle the bow needs a fast thinking approach." He chuckled. "I just want to see the outer world!" She whined "You will okay, I promise. After this time at least". Perseus said leaving her to go to his crew. Gilbert called to him and saying, "Perseus the king calls..." "You and Silver will come with me". He added. They climbed on horses and rode to the palace of the king of Sparta. When they got in, the jumped down before the horses halted. As they walked in passed the guards to the main entrance, they proceeded to the side of the throne westwards where the king sat and elders with him. "All hail king Darius of Sparta!" Perseus exclaimed. "Welcome Perseus, a man in whom am pleased and honored to rest the weight of Sparta's burden on". king Darius replied. "You glorify your servant more than kings of your class your majesty, this ought not to be so". He commented. "To you it is wrong, but a king is never wrong at his verdicts oh Perseus son of late king Cranaus!" He cheered "Am no son of a king who had no trusted friends to fight for his son when he is gone." Perseus declared. "I did not summon you hear for a debate Perseus, I have told you countless times that your father is one of the greatest kings of his time and there's no match for his greatness and bravery in all of Athens today as we speak. It is quite unfortunate that the people he trusted all died in battle and that rat of a brother took his place instead." Perseus had always blamed his father for not setting things in order before he went up for battle which resulted to his banishment as he thought. He obviously never wanted to hear anything that has to do with his being a king and definitely never want to believe he is from Athens. "Why did my king send for me, if you may?" He asked. "You may cause me to have something against you Perseus if you keep going on a mission without my consent. Do you want to kill yourself and ruin the hope of your people?" "I serve my people my lord and if I die, I die honorably in so doing" Perseus replied. "No Perseus, I do not speak of the people of Sparta. Sparta is my people and I am their king. You are but a friend of Sparta and our gates are opened unto you at all times. Look to your people o Perseus, they await the return of their king!" Darius wailed. "My people whom you speak of have forgotten their king and the glory days of their great king Cranaus your majesty" Perseus said again as he moved to the left to take a seat while Gilbert and Silver stood on folded arms watching the drama. "At least you remember to call yourself king Perseus, your destiny is not out of place. You are your problem Perseus, until you realize it, your time will linger." Darius instructed. Perseus took a deep breath and asked, "What will you that I do?" "I would that you leave this rescue mission I hear of and face your true destiny Perseus; but I guess you will not listen. So I have to command you before hand, that you set course for Athens after your return and heed to my advice. Athens will fall if you do not go now, an unwise king is seated on that throne and confused. This is the time to let Athens know where they missed it and who they ought to call king." Darius advised. "You now command me against my will too?" Perseus asked weakly "I must do so, owing to your stubbornness of heart. As you go to Pirgos, return in health of body and mind, may the blessings of the kings of Sparta and my blessings be with you wherever you go. And do me a favor, cut off Hectus pointer finger and bring it to me, he is very stubborn to have followed his grandfather's footsteps of making troubles instead of his father in whom am delighted to call king." Hectus father is gentle and a lover of people, he is interested in the building and development of a city than he is with wars...
