They quickly beckon on their horses to show up while they checked the cage to see it everyone was safe and secure. They were over twenty five Spartan people in both cages who were almost taken into s*****y. Perseus and the men with him saw victory that day in a manner that almost made his fame to be noised throughout the land of Sparta; over fifty men killed in the hills of Tripolis which is an extension of the terrain towards Pirgos with no man down which were with Perseus. The men from that day, learnt to submit themselves to Perseus in being loyal to him than to any King because of the strength and ability he showcases beneath those hills that very day. Gilbert in his opinion said he had never seen any mortal man fight in that kind of speed and wisdom since he was born in Sparta. Others were amazed as they stared at Perseus on their way home on horse back: they have never seen him fight in this manner throughout the period they practiced in camp. The tall and hairy called him closer and said, "Perseus, you've changed overnight. You are becoming stronger by the day, and everyone will be thinking you are that Perseus son of Zeus and that you have returned the second time to retain your glory." "No Silver, I must disagree. I am Perseus of my time and we are mortals. To think we have super powers like that of the gods of Greece is foolishness to me." Perseus said jokingly. "I think you might be a fool after all. Have you forgotten that their are mortal men among us who possesses such super powers and are on their way to becoming legends in Greek today like the days of old." Gilbert added jovially. "Haha, you speak of the wizard Puerto of Sparta." Perseus teased "Nope, you are mistaking again". Another soldier bluntly said, Then Silver added, "Puerto is only but a figure of weakness compared to Chilon of Sparta the wizard of the nights..." "And Thales of Miletus the wizard of the hidden dens of Crete!" The soldier who declared him wrong spoke again. "All those wizards are told of in the likes of fairy tales to the children of Sparta to scare them to death till sleep fall on them quite alright." "No Perseus, you will be categorized under the class of fools to think that legendary tales of wizards like Thales of Miletus who resides in Crete and Chilon the night lord are all false. We are also forgetting the great wizard that hides himself in Athens. My dear Perseus, just because you haven't seen them those not mean they do not exist." Gilbert explained. "But these stories where told us from birth, how do you stand to believe they still exist? And even if they do exit, you of all people should know that they will be sitting down in weakness of age as Puerto of Sparta do lie." Perseus laughed. "Peurto is not weak of age, his wisdom is at it's peak so that he sits at a place to still his mind while he controls the fate of demons and mortal men who rode in horses at the sound of battle." Silver interrupted. "You seem to know so much about them, how come your sudden great interest?" "They've been of great help to many who drew the sword in battle my friend" Silver said. Perseus chuckled and asked yet another question as they rode into the city's gate that was opened before them, "And this wizard that hides himself in Athens, what is his name and why hide himself if he possesses so great powers?" Gilbert replied with no form of deep but shallow explanation, "He goes by the name Alexander the white and he is greatly feared in all of Greece as a possessor of the powers from the gods who have seen the future. He hides in favor of Kings, so that they retain their glory upon their thrones in their days..." Gilbert moved into the city following other horses from behind as he stopped talking too. The shout of joy coming from the crowd could not enable him finish his speech. Frida ran out from nowhere and started looking for Maria as the cage padlock broke open by the smashing of it with a soldiers blade. As the aforementioned captives walked out looking strained and in pains with torn clothes stained with blood on some part of it, Frida called out for Maria hoping to see her come through one of the cages but she was nowhere in sight. "She's not here!" Frida squalled Perseus and Silver ran towards the cage and looked around it, "What!" Silver roared "Hey, it's gonna be alright, calm down" Perseus consoled Frida and quickly ran up to climb a platform from whence he addressed the people with a loud tune "Is there anyone here by chance who has seen a young lady about twenty three of age by name Maria since you were taken?" "That's right! We have searched for her among the dead and injured before going to rescue y'all and she was no where to be found. Someone better start talking." Gilbert added vociferously. "Master Perseus, she was taken on horses back by Hectus when he left." an old man about sixty two reported. "Damnit!" Silver exclaimed "On what grounds? God damnit!" Perseus exclaimed. "We heard him speak of her as though she was of a special kind of lineage." A woman explained. The entire place was filled with silence and everybody stopped whatever it was they were doing and looked towards Perseus like he was their kind. Although he was the son of a king, Perseus is like an outcast to his people. He was originally born in Athens and he is an heir to the throne: a king. He is the only one qualified to handle the sword of Cranaus his father who died in the battle of the rise of Mordor and his sword was retrieved by a dwalf king and restored to Athens broken in three pieces.
