Amelia's p.o.v

We finally arrive back home and dad gets some warriors to help us unload the boxes and furniture that we brought back. I labeled everything so it gets done quickly. I link mom who tells me they are in the garden so I rush over there. I decide to go through the back door and I am walking so fast and looking down at my phone because I am doing research on some of these supernatural beings that we are trying to catch that I do not see this huge wall infront of me and I crash into it. I rub my nose and realize it isn't a wall. "Alpha Aspen" I say. "Amelia. You should really pay more attention where you are going" he chuckles. "Yeah sorry" I mutter. "No worries. It is nice to see you again. Your father invited me over to his pack to see the way he runs things here. I am actually trying to expand my land and I love what he has done here and I just wanted some pointers" he says and I smile. I am so proud of my dad. I love it when other people notice all of his accomplishments. Daddy works so hard, that's why I work so hard. So he can be proud of me. "That's great. My father is the best there is, so I am sure you will learn alot here." I tell him. He stares at me like if he wants to say something else, but he just smiles. "Well, I have to go, see you around" I say and wave as I walk out the back door.

"Clara, how are you feeling?" I ask her. "Like crap" she says. I hug her. "Well babygirl, I have some news. I received a phone call today from Melissa. She is Andy's wife and she wants to get together with you to talk. Just you two. Are you up for it? I can have her come here so you are protected" I tell her. "I don't know, do you guys think it is a good idea?" she asks us. "I actually do. You need to get closure and as many answers as you can. He won't give them to you, but maybe the wife can answer some questions I am sure you have." Mom tells her and I nod. Makes sense. "Worse thing that can happen is she's a total bìtch and we kick her off the property" I tell Clara. She thinks about it for a bit. "Okay, text her and tell her to meet me here." she says and I do so. We hang out until the men come out and join us. I notice that Aspen is extra friendly with me. He is opening doors and just being extra sweet to me. "Wow, I think someone is smitten" mom links in our family link and Wolf is roaring with laughter and I roll my eyes. "He is just being friendly." I link them. "You wouldn't know flirting if it hit you in the face" Wolf links me. My family is getting on my nerves. "You can't flirt back, can you?" he links. "I can, Wolf, shut up." I link back. He just links back laughing at me. "Leave your sister alone. Stop challenging her." Dad links us, but too late. Game on, I will show him that I can flirt. "How about some lunch?" Mom says and we all head over to the dining area.

Aspen holds my chair out for me to sit. "Such a gentleman, thank you" I say and he winks at me. He takes a seat next to me. "So, how do you two feel about training. We heard the news already." Dad says and I groan. "We're ready dad" Wolf says and I nod. "What kind of training?" Aspen asks. "Elite, military training" dad tells him. "Oh wow" he says, looking impressed. "both of you?" he asks and I nod. "Impressive." he says and dad nods. "My kids work very hard." dad tells him. "We should train together. I'll even let you kick my aśś" he tells me and Wolf snorts knowing damn well I will not need him to let me kick his aśś, I will just do it. "How old are you Amelia?" he asks me. "Don't you know it is not polite to ask a lady her age?" I tell him. "Good thing you aren't a lady" Wolf links me laughing. "If this is you flirting, you sùck sister" I am so annoyed with Wolf. I'm not a slùt like him. It isn't easy from me. "I'm kidding, I am 21. How old are you?" I ask him. "28" he says. "After lunch, lets take a walk to check on the bar. I wanted to surpise you Melly, but what if you want to do any last minute changes" dad says and I nod.

We get to the front of the bar and I almost cry when I read the name out front. Moon Shine. Dad opens the front door and we walk inside. I stand in the middle of the bar and twirl in a circle, taking it all in. "It's perfect" I tell him. "Tried to get everything you wanted in here" he says and I run and hug him. This place will be a safe place where our pack members and even people from other packs can come to hang out, of course after they pass inspection. We can't just allow anyone to come on in here. "I love the bar stools" I tell him. "Thanks for this idea babygirl. I am sure this place will be a success" he tells me and I agree. I have a feeling this place will be great. We lock it back up and head back to the packhouse. We walk in and Aspen and Wolf come up to us. "We are taking Clara out to cheer her up." Wolf says. "I do not know if that is a good idea. You don't think it is too soon?" I ask him and he shakes his head. "No, the sooner we help her get over him, the better, she will need to go out, especially after she meets with the wife." he tells me and I nod "True, well let me go help her get ready for the meeting and I will take care of little Andy in the mean time" I say. "Wow Amelia, I didn't think you liked kids. Look at you taking care of a pup" Aspen says. "Oh no. I only like my nephew" I say and laugh, he on the other hand frowns, but doesn't say anything. I rush upstairs and Clara is already ready so I grab little Andy and we head downstairs. We are letting them use one of the extra meeting rooms that we have. The guards at the borders tell us that she is here so I go out to meet her while Clara is in the room. "Hello Melissa, I am Amelia. I will bring you to Clara" I say. "Hello Amelia. Thank you for this. I am so glad you gave me your card. Andy's parents can be too much sometimes and his mother was way out of line saying those things to your friend. It's not like what Andy did is her fault." she tells me and I am glad this lady isn't being hostile and is actually reasonable. I hope Clara gets some closure right now. I take her to the room and grab little Andy to give them some privacy. She looks at him and smiles. "He looks just like Andy" she says. "Call me if you ladies need anything." I say and walk out.

Melly's daycare now open. I post a photo of little Andy and I on my social media account with that caption. I grabbed a bunch of things and brought Andy outside so we can have a picnic. I placed the blanket down then the snacks and then the toys. I got him to stay here for a bit, but when he got bored I decided it was time to hit up the park. We play there for about an hour and I haven't heard from Clara. I am getting nervous. "Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?" I ask him. "Eat, Eat" he responds throwing his little hands up in the air. I pick him up and dust him off and wipe his hands and we walk back to the packhouse. I make him a smoothie. I am not a chef so I have no idea what to make him. Clara always gives him soft foods so I decide on some soft brocolli with mashed potatoes, apple slices and strawberries I know random, but I just don't know. I take another picture of us with his face full of food and post it. I read through some of the cute comments. He finishes and I wash his face and hands. Clara is still in there with Andy's wife and I do not know what else to do so we go bug dad. I am surprised when I walk into dad's office and Miles and his father are in here. I didn't know they were on our property. Miles looks so handsome and here I am full of food from cleaning little Andy up. I suddenly feel self-conscious. Miles looks at me then at Andy Jr. "Sorry, I didn't know you were busy." I tell dad. "Andy and I wanted to hang out with you" I tell him. "Here, hand me my grandpup" dad says and I do. "You came to visit grandad" dad tells him and my heart swells.Yes dad claimed him as his grandpup since Clara has no family. To him Clara is his other daughter and I love how big his heart is. I sit in the chair next to dad and go on my phone. "Melly, when did you have a pup?" Damien asks me. "What?" I ask him. Does he think Andy Jr is mine? Well, they don't really know Clara like that. I look over at Miles. Does he think Andy is my pup as well? "Oh Andy.." I say when the door open and Wolf and Aspen walk inside. "Oh my baby boy. Come to uncle" Wolf tells Andy. "He's so cute and you are so good with him. He loves you so much." Aspen tells me. "How old is he?" Damien asks. "He's like 2 years old. I'm not exactly sure we should ask Clara. Melly and I were gone when he was born." Wolf says and I watch as Miles relaxes. He doesn't look as tense anymore. "Clara and the human are done, lets go on our date now." Aspen says. "Date?" dad asks. "We are taking Clara out to cheer her up." I tell dad because I feel like if Aspen is making it seem like if he and I are going on a date. "That is such a good idea." he says. "Want to go with us Miles?" I ask. I have no idea why I even just asked him, but something in me was just pushing me to do it. "Yeah, sure" he says and I smile. "I'm going to go get ready. Take Andy to mom." I yell at Wolf and run upstairs.

My heart is beating like crazy and my hands are sweating. I shave and shower and decide on a short grey dress. with some sexy heels that tie around my ankles. I straighten my hair and add soft makeup. I put on my favorite perfume and grab my clutch and put my phone in my purse and walk to Clara's room. She looks too plain so I decide to dress her up and I do her hair and makeup. I need her to cheer up a bit. I know it is alot, but Werewolves die if their mates die and I can't allow Clara to die so I will help her as much as I can. I tell her to go meet up with the guys while I go tell my mom something and I go to her room. "Mom, I am leaving. Tomorrow I have training really early so I won't see you anymore until the afternoon." I tell her. "I heard Miles is going and that he recently rejected his mate and is a single man" mom says. I shrug. "Melly, it is okay to go after what you want. I know you still love him." mom tells me. I don't deny it, but I also don't confirm it. "Goodnight mom" I say and walk out and close the door. Goddess that woman can see right through me. I follow the scents to the living room and everyone is standing there. The first person I see is Miles and our eyes connect. "You look beautiful" Miles and Aspen both say in unison. "This is going to be fun" Wolf laughs in our mind-link.
