Moon Goddess

Miles p.o.v

Hearing Melly say that losing our pup is a punishment from the moon goddess hurts more than it probably should. She has been living with this guilt and thinking this fùcked up way this whole time. "Amelia, while I agree that we were so young and it was probably not a good time to have our pup, the reason he dìed is not due to a punishment. It's just something that happened. We are older now and I am not stùpid anymore and I know what I want and it is you..I want you in my life any way I can get you." I tell her. She smiles and nods. "I want us to be friends again" she says and although that is not what I want. I want to have a relationship. I want to mark her as mine, but I will take it slow. I will show her that we belong together. We are perfect together. We are meant to be. She will see. "I want that to" I tell her. She smiles. "I think it's time to head back. I have to make sure little Andy and Clara are okay. Her mate got kìlled in an accident, that's why we left" she tells me. "Oh wow. I am sorry to hear that." She nods. I pull up to the front gate and I grab her phone and put my phone number in it and dial it so I can save her number. She shakes her head. "you could have just asked me for my phone number." she tells me and I laugh. "I will text you when I get home" I tell her. "Bye" she says and gives me a small wave. "Bye bestfriend" I say and burst out laughing. I watch her go inside and I feel a little lighter. We still have alot to talk about, but I didn't want to unload everything tonight, especially after she told me bout her friend. I will just take it slow with her for now.

Amelia's p.o.v

I walk inside and Wolf is sitting in the living room waiting for me. "Have fun?" he asks. I roll my eyes. "I can't believe Miles already came running to look for you" he says and I keep walking. "Did you have sèx with him?" Wolf asks me and starts laughing. "Wolf, what the heck" I say. "Oh come on Amelia, I might not like him that much and I think you are too damn good for him, but you can't deny that you two belong together. I do not know how you two are not mates. What happened with the pregnant mate?" he asks me. "He rejected her, but her dad didn't allow her to accept the rejection" I tell him sadly. Maybe Wolf is right. Maybe we do belong together, regardless I don't want him to be mated to someone else. For now though I can't think about a relationship. I have to think about moving back home and training to become an elite. "That's some bad luck. It makes me think about meeting my mate. Hopefully it isn't some evil woman like his mate." he says. I think about mates. What about my mate? I have never thought about it. My whole life I thought my mate was Miles and when I found out he wasn't, I just never thought about it again. I don't even think I have a mate. I can't see myself with anyone. "Your mate will be an absolute angel" I tell him and he laughs. "may the moon goddess hear you" he says. "The moon goddess hates me, do not even say it outloud she will give you a shìtty mate on purpose if she even knows that you know me" I tell him. "Shùt up ìdìot" he says. "Goodnight" I yell. I flip him the bird and go back to the room Clara is in. They are both still asleep. My phone dings and I put it on silent not to wake them up. "I'm home" the message says and I save his name with the number so I know that it is him texting or calling me. "Goodnight" I text him back. "Goodnight Pinky. Thanks for coming to my ceremony today. I am so happy that we reconnected." he replies. I do not know what to reply. I think about it, but we are just friends so I just reply a simple "You're welcome" with a happy face emoji.

I wake up because I feel someone rubbing my head softly. I slowly open my eyes. Mmmm this feels so good though. "You're awake" I hear a woman with the softest voice say. I sit up and I am in the forest by a river. What am I doing at Black River? Black River got it's name because of this exact river. We used to play here when we were young. Miles loves this place. "I do not hate you my dear" the woman says and I look at her. She is wearing a white dress and she looks very delicate. She has long hair that floats all around her, She is beautiful. "Who are you?" I ask her. "The moon goddess dear. I came to you quickly in your dream because I want you to know that you have it all wrong. I do not hate you and I did not decide to punish you. What happened with you was a mistake indeed. You don't want to believe it, but this just proves to everyone that I do in fact make mistakes, but I plan on rectifying it. You are amazing and I made sure to make you and your wolf strong so you could deal with the heartbreak. I can't force you to do anything, but all I can tell you is to follow your heart. In the next full moon, I will fix all of my mistakes. Now sleep and stop over thinking. What is meant to be will always find it's way to you." she says and snaps her fingers and I feel so tired. I close my eyes and sleep.

I open my eyes and jump up when I hear crying. "Clara" I say and rush over to her. "It wasn't a dream" she says. A dream? I think to my dream. That was a dream. Did the moon goddess really come to me or am I tripping? I do not know. I link mom to come help me and to stay with Clara while Wolf and I pack and bring our things back home. She comes in and I shower and get dressed and tell them I will be back. Wolf is already outside with a moving truck. We go back to our aparrment and we pack as quickly as we can. We keep goofing off and it takes us a little longer than we want it to, but we finally get it done. My phone rings and I answer "Is this Amelia? This is Melissa. I am Andy's wife and I wanted to see if we can meet." the woman tells me. Oh shìt. I didn't think she would call, especially not that quickly.
