“Daddy, when will mommy come?” Crystal asked Ashton.
“Soon, honey.. Why don’t you go home with grandma?” Everyone was waiting outside the operation theatre for four hours now and Crystal was beginning to miss her mommy already.
“Okay daddy..” She nodded and got down from his lap.
“Come on honey..” Ashton’s parents were really happy to take her home and spend some time with their grand-daughter. “Call us if you need anything, son..” Kate said before carrying Crystal out of the hospital.
To say Ashton was nervous would be an understatement. He didn’t want to let Katherine inside the operation theatre. Liver transplants are not always effortless, he knew that. He had heard of complications after surgery for both the donor as well as recipient.
