We arrived at Darry’s spot but he was no longer there. I could still sense the lingering presence of him though. “We need to check on the others. I’ll look for Darry.” Brian agreed. “Let’s meet at the battle front in ten minutes if you don’t find your father. I’ll assume he has attacked you if you don’t.” I agreed and watched Brian leave. I traced Darry’s scent and found him on top of a tree very easily. He was engrossed in his illusion magic except I knew right now that he was not trapping enemies but his own people. There was a slight red glow in his eyes when he noticed my presence. He paid me no heed and continued on like a zombie. And just as if I was walking into a trap, the leaves rustled behind me and as I turned my head to look, I saw a huge black wolf, lunging towards me.
