Unlike everyone else who were busy doing something, she just sat there, eyes dull, like everything bore her.
“Aria,” I squatted next to her. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” She turned away from me, “I want to be on my own.”
“So, I’m guessing you won’t be joining us?”
She finally looked at me, eyes narrowed dangerously. “If Evelyn will be there to fight then I will.”
“So what are you going to do?” I asked her, “You’re not training or doing anything at all. How are you going to control your powers?”
“I just need this gloves off and I can use my powers.”
“How? By just touching everyone you want dead?” I asked and when I saw the look on her eyes, I knew that was exactly what she’d been thinking. “You really think that’s how this works?”
