When we got back home to Brian, he had immediately noticed something wrong. He waited until Liah went to find Angelica. The frown refused to leave my face even when we were finally alone and he moved closer to me, whispering softly.
“What happened?”
And so I told him everything that had transpired. Liah’s snarl. Liah freezing time. The strange woman we encountered. I told him everything and by the time I was done, Brian was shaken too.
