Sean’s POV
Samuel left a day after he found Scarlett. She went with him and I let her know that if she wanted to come back she would always have a place here. I wasn’t expecting her to come back though. Samuel was a great guy and I know she will see that.
I was sitting in my office going over some building plans and signing off on the next houses that needed to be built and the cobblestone to be laid in the streets when the snow melted in the spring. Things weren’t done but progress was being made.
Paris walked into my office and came up to me. I stopped what I was doing to look up at her. She was looking over the papers on my desk. I pushed my seat back from my desk a little and brought her into my lap. I held her close and breathed in her strong mango scent. It was so much stronger
