It was now May the day before my birthday. Raven was being extra annoying today while she was at mine and Sean’s apartment insisting that I put on nice pants and a pretty shirt so we could go out.
“What are we even going to do?” I asked her.
“You will see. It’s part of your birthday fun.”
“Is it just the two of us?”
“No, other friends are coming along too.”
Sean laughed at our exchange and said, “just get dressed, baby. Go and enjoy time with Raven tonight so I can spoil you tomorrow.”
