EMILY’S POV — The first two weeks after Haiden and I mustered up a plan, I had to go visit him everyday. We mostly sat in silence, fake laughing while glaring at one another, but as I sit across from him, crying, I find myself vulnerable for the first time in a long time. “Can you just stop crying?” he hisses. I press my tongue to the roof of my mouth, my chest freezing as I block my airway as I try my best to stop crying in front of him. “Goddess, what the hell is wrong with you?” Everything. I can’t sleep. I miss Nico. I want to go home. I aggressively wipe my tears, rolling my eyes as I push my back flat against the wall. “I have to sit here with you everyday.” I growl as I face away from him.
