EMILY’S POV — Forgiving is a big gesture, it takes strength and determination to put one’s mind at the peace, to trust me again and I am eternally grateful because ever since we fought it out, life has been great, and not just in the bedroom, but every part of it. “Em, your mother is here,” Nico yells from downstairs. Life was perfect, until now. Nico is encouraging me to make amends with her, and his reason is that if he can forgive me, I can forgive my mother. I have forgiven her for a lot, and he doesn’t understand that I’m tired of it. I’m tired of giving her chance after chance, and the worst part of all of it is, she isn’t even a bad mother. She’s caring and loving when she wants to be, but she’s also selfish. She thinks that she’s always right, even though she isn’t. “I’
