As usual, Euphie was the most perceptive of them all. It was like she could read my mind with little more than a few words. I nodded in response before walking around the pillar in front of us and going to the one on the right—it was a little taller than the one before. I readied myself and clambered up its smooth surface to get a closer look at the pattern on top. It's the same circle symbol!
I was ecstatic at our new discovery. This stone pillar had the exact same pattern as the one we saw on the last pillar. Although I knew nothing was certain, I was leaning more and more toward the idea that this could be our way out. The circles had somehow inspired hope within me, and the thought of finally freeing ourselves of this place did not seem so absurd anymore.
