“I got the files you asked for,” Ross said, and I nodded as I took them.
“Thank you, I would have went home to get them myself,” I said, and he nodded.
“I understand, after the stunt Martin pulled you didn’t want to leave your mate alone,” he explained, and I nodded.
I can’t take any risks with her safety, and now she seems to have a lot on her mind.
I need to be here for her and while doing that I will do my own research.
To be honest, when my parents died I was just a teen at the time.
And their deaths hit me so hard that I didn’t want to dig into it.
I just wanted to forget all that pain and looking into their deaths would have been adding salt to a wound.
