When Kasey was leaving Moanna's house she thought that Seth would let her take her car. But her even took the keys to it since he bought it and it's in his name. She sit on the curb in front of Moanna's house for hours, hoping that Seth would change his mind. When she saw that all the lights went off, she started walking. Kasey didn't have any money but she took a chance and hailed a cab to take her to her parent's house.
The driver is looking at her and her two bags through the rearview mirror, thinking "I hope this chick doesn't try to stiff me with this fair."
Kasey has been talking to herself ever since she got n the cab. The driver has only been able to make out a few words. That is money, crazy son, mother, and Austin.
