CHAPTER 3. Charming Stalker

Gabriel immediately climbed to the steel boat ladder attached on the extended platform of his yacht at the backside and checked the flybridge. Christian also followed to see if the young man needed his help. Christian roamed his eyes around the luxurious boat, it was quite bigger and impressive than the one he has. The deck floor is made of mahogany, while the couch attached to the cockpit is made of authentic leather. Unfortunately, with the look of it now he just hopes that it has no trouble in the engine so the man could depart from the island immediately. "Check the engine first." He ordered Gabriel who was shaking his head in disappointment while holding his soaked mobile phone. "Yes sir." He obeyed, standing up, and walked towards the control panel. He blew and released the worry he had when the engine worked. "Guess the weather still spares me with a pinch of hope." He commented with a smile. "You must be a prince," Christian suddenly utter but the young voyager just timidly scratched the back of his neck as he chuckled softly. "How did you find this island?" Christian asked again, while he roamed around the yacht, searching if there were other damages that could lead to an awful journey back to where he came from. "I honestly don't have any idea about this isle, sir. I was on this incredible adventure away from the city when suddenly the wind became tougher and waves harshly brought me here." Gabriel explained. They are currently standing on the deck when suddenly, a sound of metal screeching took their attention and made them panic when the deck staggered. Gabriel quickly moved and went to the flybridge to stop the engine. "It must be the propeller," Christian announced. "You know about yachts, sir?" Gabriel inquired in surprise. "Kind of, I actually have one on the other side of the island," Christian said, as he also started to take off his shirt, getting ready to dive underwater. But before that, he looked beyond the ocean first and saw that the sun was almost in full bloom. He sighed. 'It seems that our guest will be extending his stay.' He pinched the bridge of his nose, not preferring what he just thought. Gabriel saw how Christian jumped into the water and he was supposed to follow when he had a glimpse of a shadow, peeping from a rock, a little distance away from them. He can't figure out what it is since it was facing against the sunlight. But abruptly Christian rose from the water that made him lose his attention from the unidentified shadow. "What is it?" Christian inquired, worried if his mischievous fish daughter followed them. "Nothing, sir. I just thought I saw something." Gabriel denied. "Alright, anyway, your propeller got a rope entangled on it and now also stuck at the rock underneath. You have to take it off to straighten the blades and wait for the high tide so we are able to push this grand water vehicle of yours to the sea." Christian explained. "Well, honestly, I don't mind staying here for long, besides, I don't want to go home yet." Gabriel sadly announced looking down at the water. "I see, so this adventure of yours is a product of your running away drama, huh?" Christian asserted, as he pulled himself up to the platform and started wearing his shirt. "Not really, I just wanted to be alone for some time," Christian responded. "If that's so, I better leave you then. I still have a lot of things to do back at our house, last night's typhoon left us a lot of waste and I need to help my wife clean up the place." He sighed and hopped to the nearest boulder beside the boat. "Anyway, young man. You see those garbage scattered around?" He said referring to Gabriel's things from the yacht thrown in the shore and some floating above the water. "I don't want to see these when I come back, especially those tin cans of soda, pick them up and put them inside your precious boat. I don't want to see them when I return." Christian added. "Affirmative, sir." Gabriel briefly answered and stood to his feet to start cleaning up. Christian smirked secretly as he thought that the man seems to be obedient and nice. However, he can't be careless, or else Gabriel could be the way to reveal his daughter's real identity. While Gabriel starts picking up the trash floating above the water, Crystal slowly swims to the other side and hides behind the big rock. She giggles watching their island guest cleaning up the shore. Again, she gently moved, shifting to the smaller boulder to have a nice angle of his face. "Gabe!" She suddenly called his attention, but the man can't find where the voice is coming from and jerks his head everywhere. He is quite sure that was Crystal calling him from somewhere because of the tender and captivating voice. And most of all, she's the only one who called him by that nickname. "Gabe!" She called him again as she laughed softly, Finally, Gabriel saw her direction and a wide grin crept on his face seeing her undeniable charm under the bright sunlight of the sun. She looks even more desirable with her wet hair and tan skin that sparkles like water. Gabriel swallowed several times while gawking at her exquisite beauty that he had never seen in his whole life. "Are you already leaving?" Crystal asked, cupping her beautiful face as she leaned her elbows on the rock for support, while her tail was secretly swaying gently below the water. "Not sure, my boat has been stuck on the rock, your father said that I need to wait until high tide so we are able to move the boat to the deeper part." He informed her and suddenly felt something that urged him to get closer to the lady but she stopped him. "Just stay where you are and don't go near me." Crystal told him. "But why? I want to see your beautiful face closer." Crystal's breath hitches as she heard those words from him. Even though her parents always told her how beautiful she is, when it comes from Gabriel it feels different and now, she's blushing. Gabriel noticed it and smirked. "I-I have to go," Crystal said stammering. "Uh, Gabe, look." She tricks the handsome man by pointing something behind him to turn and she quickly escapes. And when Gabriel notices there isn't something he turned again but to his surprise, she just disappears. He immediately ran to the rock where she was just a while ago but found nothing. He even tried to dip himself but still got no evidence of her presence that she came there earlier. But still, he smiled, thinking that at least he had a short conversation with the beautiful young lady. "Well, what should I expect of a lady living on an island surrounded by water and waves." He mumbled at himself unbelievably wishing that their conversation could have another chance. He climbed on the boat again to check everything and get inside the interior. He felt defeated seeing everything was a mess and damp. Lucky for him that he has food supplies stored under his bed inside the cabin of his yacht and most importantly, they're dry. Unlike the other food that he used to have in the galley and fridge, which was dispersed and got wet because the water went in. The day seems dull for Gabriel, hours feel like years as he watches the ocean till sunset. He has no phone or laptop to entertain him, he just calls his friend Axel from a walkie-talkie to inform him that he is still alive and kicking but stuck on a beautiful island with a stunning young lady. His friend offers him some help to get him but Gabriel refuses to be rescued and wants to seize the moment on the island. But aside from that, he was still curious about the feeling he had since the moment he saw Crystal. Christian didn't return to him because he was exhausted tidying up their farm animals before they could run into the wood and get lost. He fixes their fences while Aya collects the fruits and vegetables that they could still consume. Then, before the sun sets, they went to the shore on the other side of the island which is closer to their wooden house to pick up their siren daughter. "Crystal, avoid going to the rocky coast side of the island for the meantime because the young man's yacht was there and if he saw you with your tail, for sure that was bad news," Christian told her daughter who only nodded in response while Aya heaves a deep sigh, worrying about her daughter's safety. They are already at their house having dinner together, but Crystal's parents are still bothered about the presence of the young man being around the island. But, on the other hand, the enthusiastic beautiful siren has a silly plan for tonight.
