“He’s doing fine. Someone brought him to the hospital after the incident,” Gabriel said, crouching beside the pool after he made a call to someone.
“Can I talk to him?”
“That’s too much, my siren,” Gabriel told her as he dipped his body again into the water.
“Now, come here.” He demanded, sitting on the elevated steps, shoulder-deep underwater.
Crystal sighed but obeyed his order as she flipped and waved her tail gracefully in his direction. Gabriel reaches for her by extending his arms and holding her hands.
“Why are you still pouting?” rubbing her knuckles with his thumbs, but Crystal only shook her head negatively while looking down.
“Let’s take your shirt off,” Gabriel proposed and reached for the hem of her shirt, but the siren refused and took a bit of distance from the man.
“Why are you still acting like that?” he asked with furrowed eyebrows, annoyed by her action.
"Gabriel, I told you already. I don't like it here. I want to go back." She complained to him with her welling up tears.
"Go back where? To that nasty place!? That will not happen again, Crystal."
"No, Jason and I are planning to go somewhere else. He doesn't want me to go back to Mi Paraiso either."
"I see," He muttered, biting his lower lip to suppress his emotion.
"So, you say that you are choosing him over me, is that it?" With a furious expression, he asked.
"Gabe, I-I love him," she let out, crashing the man's entire being.
All he thought before was that the innocent Crystal he once knew would only love one person and that would be him, but now listening to her confession makes him believe that the island lady he met at Caro island is no more.
Gabriel stepped out of the water and angrily shoved the trolley with food that was placed beside the edge of the water. He scattered everything on the floor and inside the pool, which Crystal quickly grabs before it completely contaminates the water where she is going to stay for the complete day.
"Gabe," she called him with shaky lips, as she wanted him to stop from furiously hitting the wall after he smashed everything his arms could reach out.
"What!?" He stopped and faced her with a savage face.
"I'm sorry." She mumbled, looking down to avoid his eyes.
"Sorry?" He repeated, walking back in her direction.
"I thought you were getting married, and it's him who always helps me to survive in the city. He took care of me and I fall-"
"Stop! Please, just stop." He gets into the water again and swims in the siren’s direction.
He reaches her hand and corners her on the edge of the pool while Crystal just lets him, worried if he would break down again.
"Crystal," staring straight at her eyes as he pushed a few strands of her hair to the back of her ear.
"Please, give me another chance. Let me prove how much I love you. This is all just a misunderstanding, love. Please, can we let ourselves figure this out again? Together? I believe there is still a piece of your heart that is still beating for me, I can feel it." He said and embraced the enchantress siren.
"I still believe that the Spirits lead me to you for us to continue what we have started on the island." He whispered.
"Gabe,"
"Please."
"Alright, let's try." Crystal decided as she lingered her arms to embrace him back. Gabriel showed a weak smile, feeling her arms around his body.
"Could you promise me too to stop mentioning his name again?" He begged.
"O-okay."
"Thank you." He gladly said, looking down at her lips.
"Can I kiss you?" He implored, but Crystal shook her head negatively. Gabriel just sighed, feeling defeated by her refusal, but his naughty mind thought of something and suddenly sucked her bud that was poking against the fabric of her shirt while holding her tightly around her waist above the tail.
"Gabriel!" Pushing him away, but the man did not let her as he grips her even tighter.
She felt her tail stiffen from his action as the electrifying sensation ran through all over her body.
"I wonder how you will come with your tail on." He teases her, still steadying her body. Crystal's face blushes with his words.
"Aren't you going to work today?" She asked, trying to divert their topic.
"I am," he responded as he traveled his hand inside her shirt and smashed her bosom with his big one.
"Gabe, stop!" She moaned.
"Promise me you'll stay."
"I promise, just stop it." Her tail moves in a weird motion as she keeps on suppressing the wonderful feeling he is making her feel throughout her system.
"Kiss me," he demands.
"Kiss me, Crystal. Or I won't stop," he dared that made the lady move her arms around his neck and connect their lips. Gabriel grinned against her lips before he fully captured hers.
Gabriel brought Crystal to the bathtub and asked his servant to clean the room and change the water inside the pool.
*****
Gabriel came just in time before Crystal's transformation. Before he left earlier, he made sure that she had everything she needed besides the pool.
"Hi," he greeted the siren, kissing her forehead as he stooped down to reach her.
"Hi,"
He stood up and unbuttoned his polo and followed his trousers to join the siren in the water. He dipped half of his body and gestured Crystal to come over, which she obediently obeyed.
Again, Gabriel gave her a loving kiss on the forehead and pulled her body closer to him.
"Why are you always frowning? Are you that sad being with me, huh?" holding her chin up.
"Uh, not that much. I'm just bored being alone the whole day. This is just too plain to stay at, unlike when I stay under the sea where I can swim along with the other fishes while cleaning up the water as well." She honestly complained.
"I see, don't worry, love. I'll take you to the sea one day, okay? I just can't do it now because I still have lots of work to do, but I promise we will one day."
"But, you can just let me go, so I can go back to the shack by myself.” She reasoned.
“Crystal, please. Don’t start again, you know that is not happening, right?” But the siren only responded with a deep sigh.
Gabriel held her in both hands and examined her bruises that are now almost healed.
“Is it still hurting?” He asked.
“Not anymore,” she answered. Then Gabriel pecked at her wrist. He then pulled her and let her rest between his thighs, facing her back at him while waiting for her switch.
After a few minutes, her transformation started while Gabriel stayed, to let her hold on to him just like how he used to before. After she got her pair of legs back, Gabriel carried her and put her down carefully in the bathtub. He helped her clean up while Crystal getting used to being naked in front of him again while the memories of them on the island flashes back.
“Gabe, it’s too stunning. Can you pick something else?” Crystal complained when Gabriel handed her a navy blue, mermaid silhouette cocktail dress with a square top.
“This is best, love. Come on, try it.” Gabriel urged. Crystal knew that she had no power over the man and just went on with what she was told. She grabs the dress and puts it on while Gabriel is watching her every move with a smile crept on his face. He also helped her to zip the dress up.
“So beautiful.” He commented as he looked at the woman with amusement in his eyes.
He held her hand and pulled her to the bed, gesturing her to sit before he went back inside the closet. When he returned he had a box in his hand and kneeled in front of her, opening the box to reveal a lovely pair of stilettos with two inches of heels.
“Gabe, I don’t think I can walk with that.”
“You don’t have to worry. I’m with you. I will catch you if you ever stumble.” He told her, laughing softly while fitting her feet on the sandal.
“I can’t believe, I got your perfect size,” he exclaimed, feeling proud of himself.
“My size? Isn’t it Rachel’s stuff?” Suddenly Crystal got confused.
“Of course not! I would never spend my time and money buying anything for that brat.” He irritatingly said,
“I’ve been preparing this all for you.” He muttered, hoping that the lady would appreciate his efforts.
“For me?” she repeated, but instead of answering, Gabriel just kissed her forehead and went back to the closet one more time.
When Gabriel comes out, he is already wearing a gray plain shirt and jeans, matching with his khaki slip-on boots.
Crystal was gawking outside through the glass wall when Gabriel suddenly appeared from behind.
“Happy Birthday,” He whispered, making Crystal abruptly face him.
“Yo-you remember?” with welling up eyes, she inquired.
“Will never forget, love,” he responded while slipping her hand through the golden bangle he once gave her before for the same special day. Crystal felt delighted after knowing that the man hadn't forgotten about the special occasion. And, with no words, she wrapped her arms around his waist, hugging him rigidly.
“Thank you.” She muttered while burying her face in his chest.
“Come on, I have prepared a simple celebration for you.” Loosening her grip and holding her hand, Gabriel leads her to the double door exit of the room.
They walk to the hallway without Gabriel releasing her hand. Until they step inside the lift and step out. Crystal roamed her eyes around the mansion’s living area, surrounded by luxurious stuff.
Including the outside, a wide garden surrounded the mansion with a fountain in the middle, which she can view from the top every time she stares through the glass wall, and on the other side is a parking area with different cars.
"Layla, this is Crystal, my girlfriend." He announced casually and that made Crystal swallow several times.
"Love, this is Layla. You can trust her. If you need anything, you can tell her."
"Nice to meet you, Miss Crystal." The servant bowed her head in respect.
"H-hi." Is Crystal's only word.
"We'll be out for tonight. Make sure you secure everything before you go to bed."
"Yes, sir." And with that, Gabriel continues to pull Crystal towards the car and open the passenger's side of the door before he settles on the driver's.
"Gabe, where are we going?" She inquired.
"It's a surprise," He told her with a wide grin as he tapped the tip of her nose with his finger.
"This is the first birthday that I don't have my parents around me." She suddenly muttered while looking down at twisting her fingers.
"Don't worry about it, I have already talked to someone who can help us find your parents."
"Thank you, Gabe."
"Anything for you, Crystal."
