The only way out or he could have stood a chance was to morph back into human. The power of morphing set him free. Both of them for up. Naked but not ashamed. They said nothing to each other. Blows flew in air like a couple of plane propellers. They avoided some, others caught them causing less harm than they seemed to. Until Steve had his Claws under his ribcage. Boaz didn't struggle. The color of his iris started to fade as Steve pushed him backwards. It was over for Boaz. But he had some fight still in him. He grabbed Steve's throat sending his claws deep. He couldn't breathe yet he pushed. Unlucky for them there was a pit behind Boaz. He missed a step and fell right in it but with Steve. They all ran to the point of impact or rather disappearance as the two got swallowed into the hole. It could have been better for Tina if both of them were dead. It was dark even the strong beam of their floodlights couldn't see anything. Not even their supernatural eyes.
"Now get you men and leave", one of Boaz’s pack members stepped up to Oliver.
He still couldn't believe Steve was gone. As everyone walked away in peace oli was standing at the hole. They left him there. Then he heard some noise. When he leaned to stare in the hole he saw a set of two yellowish orange eyes. It was hard to tell whoever it was but he asked for help anyway. It could have been Boaz. Then Oliver being Steve’s insurance policy he would have killed him there and then.
"Come! Bring a rope or something!" He shouted.
His pack members came running while others waited to see the results. There was no way anyone could have survived that fall. Meshack and Tina who was now free and agitated walked out of the compound. Thy waited as the victim climbed up the hole slowly. When he got out they couldn't tell who it was. They were not human. Soaked pellet dripping of cold water and smelling. They surrounded him and waited for him to morph back into human. He did as though he heard their requests. On one knee with his head bowed. The suspense could be cut by a knife. He bought his time. Shook his head dry of mud and water.
"Bow down to your alpha" Steve said.
They all heard him right. Oliver quickly gave him a towel with a clean pair of clothes. He wiped the dirt from his skin and put on the clothes. They all bowed to him. He released one loud howl. Tina had a new neighbor. She was devastated again.

The visit to Amelia's castle bore no fruits. They something fishy about her yet they couldn't tell what it was. It was hard to tell. Debbie complained of feeling some strong power she had ever felt all over the house. Lydia said she believed her. Amelia told them about a spell book with invisible hidden letters. It could only be opened by blood and the user had to memorize the spell after which the book went into flames and the user forgot the spell immediately after using it.
"I didn't know what I was chanting. We were searching in the library and then the book just appeared, out of curiosity I reached out my hand to grab it that's when a page cut me. Every drop of blood reveal a line of the spell and as I read it became a part of me. After grasping the whole of it I didn't have control of my body. I went outside and cast it. When it worked and they disappeared I felt so weak that Grace had to help me back on my feet...then it hit me. I couldn't remember any word from the spell", she told them.
It was hard to believe that Amelia was in fact telling the truth. Her story was close to a fairy tale but Mike confirmed all her vitals were normal. Her heartbeat, eye movement, posture and articulation was all on point. The fairy tale however supported their earlier conclusion, it was not a magic prison. On the bright side they were not dead on the worst side no one had a clue where they were.
"So, Debbie are you sticking around or going with Lydia?" Don asked serving the entire group some juice.
"I haven't decided yet, but I want you guys to have fun so I might go with Lydia for now", She said.
"I know you wouldn't leave me alone on my own in that big empty castle", Lydia teased.
"To friendship," Alyssa raised a toast.
They all repeated a chorus of what she said and took a sip at once.
"You got to be kidding me!" Mike exclaimed coming in from outside.
"What is it this time Mike?” Don inquired walking towards him with a glass of blood.
He shut the door behind him without looking. His face was surprised, eyes glued on a poster he was reading keenly. When Don got to him he joined him.
“Is this a joke?” Don asked rhetorically.
“What is it hunnie?” Alyssa asked concerned.
“Where did you get this?” Don asked as though he had not heard what his girlfriend asked.
“Some guy gave it to me"
“What are you guys reading anyway that you can't share with the rest of us?” Debbie asked agitated.
"Hillary is marrying Grace", Don said smiling his way back to the coach.
The looks of surprise on their faces made the entire room look like a theater, as though a character whom they thought died came back on set. Their little family was breaking apart slowly. While Hillary owed them no explanation of his direction or plan, there was nothing they could do. He had known Leon for a few days anyway. Mike looked hurt by the move. He felt and looked alone sipping blood, lost in a globe of his own. Suddenly the door flew open.
"Did anyone else receive an invitation to Hillary and Grace's wedding?" Kyle asked carrying groceries and supplies from the store.
"No, I got a wedding poster men can you believe he is marrying that b***h?" Mike asked worked up.
"Don't worry Mike you still have us. Hillary is a grown-up he is free to love whomever he wants", Debbie said.
"Actually I had not read the whole of it we're all about invited", Kyle said happily.
"Looks like we need some suits and dresses", Don teased.
"Let's go shopping baby!" Mike said happily leaving for upstairs in super speed.
They all wondered what changed his attitude but prepared for shopping anyway. He was their friend, they needed to show him support and if they tried something fishy Don had a plan. As a leader during times when everyone wanted to kill them he was supposed to have plans ready to save them at all times.

Not everybody wanted Hillary as part of the convent but they could stand him rather than Grace. Most of his former convent vampires were happy to see him. Their lives depended on whether he lived or died since the sire bond was still active. The rest were falling in line one by one. He was the oldest and strongest of them all. It also meant he was experienced than them. Though they didn't get the part where he was marrying Grace. No one was aware of any conjugal relationship between the two. But it was unraveling before their very own eyes. The wedding preparations were underway. That day, the eve of the wedding day he called a meeting.
"Brothers and sisters, the mighty vampires of Green view and all over the state. My name is Hillary and am your new leader", He announced proudly staring at Grace
She nodded at him with a smile and clapped with the others who were loyal to him. Those who were still against him mumbled behind the crowd.
"I was lost once. Eric our founding father, the first of our kind asked me to come home but I delayed and when I came to avenge his death the hybrid compelled me into doing his bidding. Now that he is gone his compulsion doesn't work on me anymore”, He said happily.
They bought it. Grace had assured him they would have. They had no reason not to. At least it was a man leading them.
"Tomorrow am marrying Grace, now this may seem like a surprise to most of you but when I saw her my big old heart stopped. And with all of you horny bastards I knew right there if I didn't marry her soon you'd steal her from me", he said jokingly sending the crowd into a frenzy of laughter.
His skill on the podium were exemplary.
"Please, for tomorrow only. Allow all the people who'd love to attend my wedding come in that's why I called this meeting" He begged humbly.
They all agreed. He was born a king, grace thought he was making him a king. She was no king maker.
