Eventually Cory dislodged himself from Savannah, backing away from her rather suddenly - as if he’d only just realized he’d been clinging to her.  “Sorry...I didn’t mean...I came to check on you and apologize.” Cory muttered, sniffling a bit. “You don’t have to.” Savannah said softly, reaching up to wipe the tears from his cheeks. He blinked at her, and closed his hands around her fingers. “Maybe I don’t have to, but I want to. You didn’t deserve to find out the truth like that.
