Yana ran through the forest, clutching on the book, as above and behind her, the witches and wizards chased after her. The night was dark and Yana could barely see where she’s headed to. The treetops of the dense forest somehow hid the light from the moon and stars. Running swiftly, she didn’t see the tree root in front of her and so her foot slammed into it, making her tumble to the ground.
“Sh*t!” Yana cursed as hurriedly leapt back up. She must not stop. As she looked back, she felt the energy emanating from the witches and wizards who are after her. So, she kept running, numbing the pain of her foot. “Damn it.”
Hoping to be able to find somewhere to hide, Yana snarled and run on. The trees branches slapped her face and her body but she didn’t mind. Her goal now is to escape. Sweat so
