Jia tried to ignore the gurgling in her stomach after they completed the jump and immediately looked at their sensor display. The UTC fleet was spread around the HTP, and long-range sensors indicated a large group of vessels less than an hour away and coming in fast.
They’d spent long enough hooking up with the jumpship that the UTC fleet’s orders must have arrived from Earth. Given the fighter squadrons already deployed and the formations, they were prepared for a battle.
The jumpship with the Argo attached floated in space near the HTP. They were close enough that it’d take only minutes for a Fleet ship to close in and open fire.
