Elena's POV

"What is it to you? How do you know them, and why are you interfering in my business? I just met you, so we are still strangers," I say and want to push past Hunter West. Of course, I know who Hunter West is. However, I cannot remember running into him in my previous life. Maybe it is because I have made different decisions in my life. I know who he is from the newspaper reports I have seen. Well, that was in the future. He married Charmaine Brower. She turned his life upside down. From what I remember from the newspapers, she hired a hitman to kill him. He died at a very young age. I do not know what to do, should I warn him? Will they believe me anyway? Can I intervene in somebody else's life and save their life? I do not know. Maybe I was sent back in time and meant to meet him tonight because I am the only one who can save him. I know the future. She put a hit man on his life, and he killed Hunter West. She wanted his money. Almost the same as in my case. He died before me. I remember reading in the newspaper that his mother arranged the marriage. His mother could not take the fact that the woman whom she trusted with her son killed him, and she committed suicide. I can say three people's lives, mine, Hunter's and his mother's.

"Please do not walk away. I am interested in what you are planning to do. Everybody knows that he has been cheating on you for a long time. Dance with me. We need to talk," Hunter says, taking me into his arms, steering me to the dance floor.

"I need to talk to you as well. I need to warn you. If you know Charmaine Brower, do not marry her. I believe your mother wants you to marry her because she thinks Charmaine is one of the best people in the world. She is evil and only wants your money," I say as we dance in a little corner where we are alone and can not be heard.

"How do you know Charmaine? I was going to warn you about your future husband having an affair with your sister, but I see you already know. Everybody is talking about it. Anyway, we need to talk. I'm going to give you my business card. I think you should be at my office tomorrow, so we can discuss what we will do about our futures. I am not planning on marrying Charmaine. My mother wants me to marry her, but I do not love her. My mother always gets what she wants, and that is what I want to prevent from happening. I do not want to marry somebody. I am not in love with. I believe in love. However, I have never found a woman interested in me until now," Hunter says.

"If you mean you are interested in me, forget about it. I am over love. I do not believe in love anymore. Maybe I once believed in it, but now I am not interested in love. I never want to have feelings for anybody ever again in my life. I am through with it. Don't look my way if you are looking for somebody to love. I want to warn you about Charmaine. Find somebody else, but do not marry her," I say. We are still dancing when Rick walks up to us. I can see he is furious, I don't care. He can be as angry as he wants. Who cares? He thinks he's going to rule my world again. He is making the biggest mistake of his life.

"I thought you said you were not in the mood to dance. Why are you dancing with a stranger?" Rick says. He grabs me by my arm, hurting me. Hunter takes his hand and squeezes it until her releases my arm.

"That is no way to treat a lady," Hunter says.

"What happens between my fiancée and me has nothing to do with you," Rick says coldly.

"I was not feeling like dancing with you. I wanted to dance with someone else. Am I not allowed to do what I want to? I may be your fiancée, but you do not own me. Never touched me like that again. I promise you, I will not tolerate it. Rick, you have come too far," I say, my voice sounds like the South Pole. I am so sick of this man, looking at him makes me want to vomit.

"Darling, I'm sorry. I did not mean to hurt you. It is time for us to go to our table. I know you said you had a surprise for me. I cannot wait to see my surprise. I'm sorry. I was a little jealous. You didn't want to dance with me, but then you danced with another man," Rick says.

"Apologised to Mr West," I say. I can see Rick does not know what is going on. I used to be so obedient, and now I go against him in everything I do. I cannot help but hate him as I look at him and remember the last night of my previous life. He is frowning, and he seems frustrated. And now we would like to send me to hell right now. But what about him and his little girlfriend's plants? What will happen to that? I know he cannot talk back or put me in my place. He is afraid he will lose everything. His eyes brightened when he realised what I had said.

"Mr. West, I am so sorry I did not realise who you were. I am very sorry. I hope we can still do business in the future. I have somebody very unique that I want to introduce to you. I want to introduce you to an exciting woman. I want to introduce you to my future sister-in-law," Rick says. Oh, wow. This is a new plot. Is Rick willing to give up Anna? Or are they after Hunter's money as well? Since I have made other choices in my life, everything is changing. I did not expect this.
