Elena's POV

Anna does not look as extravagant as she did the last time. She's wearing a normal dress. I did not give her the dress I did in my previous life. It was a beautiful dress that the same lady had made for her. Everybody's eyes are on me this time. Anna is beautiful. I know I am also lovely, but I am a required taste. I have red hair, green eyes and freckles on my nose. Anna is a typical American beauty. She is tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. It is a shame that her personality does not match her looks. She might have made it far in life if she had a better personality—enough about her. I have to concentrate on the party tonight. I know what is going to happen. Rick will ask me to come and dance, but I won't dance with him tonight. I don't even want him to touch me. I will tell him that my body is hurting and that I do not feel like dancing. Rick walks up to us. However, I can see his eyes are on Anna, not me. I smile because I do not care anymore. He takes my hand and turns to the people.

"Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention for a moment? My lovely fiancé has arrived at last. Isn't she beautiful? I am the luckiest man alive," Rick says. I smile because I know that he doesn't mean a word that he's saying. All the while he's talking, he cannot take his eyes off Anna. I did not even realise it in the past. Everybody claps, but I can see that most of the men's eyes are on Anna. I cannot blame them. She is beautiful, although she is rotten on the inside. However, I feel two dark eyes staring at me. I look up at the owner of those eyes. He has a little, sarcastic smile on his handsome face. Does he know what is going on behind my back? Who is this man? He must think that I am a fool. I was a fool. I had not seen him the previous time I was standing here. He lifts his glass of champagne at me as I look him in the eyes. I lift mine to him and smile. I give him a cold smile. I am running a few minutes late; my previous meeting is over.

"Shall we dance, darling?" Rick asks.

"My body hurts. Why don't you and Anna dance, honey? I told Anna I felt pushed off a balcony last night," I say. Well, I was pushed off a balcony, but my body is not hurting.

"Don't you feel well? We can go home early if you want to," Rick fakes concern.

"No, I will be fine. Go ahead and dance. Enjoy your evening because I'm not feeling too well. Does not mean you don't have to enjoy the evening. I want to talk to some of the guests. I don't know half of them. I am always working, and I do not have time to socialise. Maybe I can get a few contacts for my business," I say. I know they will be dancing out onto the balcony. I didn't do much of it the last time because I thought they were planning a surprise for me. I will follow them and take a few pictures. I am going to start gathering all the evidence I can. My revenge is going to take time, but I'm going to destroy them utterly.

I stand close to the door where I know they will disappear. I have my cell phone in my hand, and it is on my camera. I have to take a quick few pictures before they even realize that I am there. I have to be inside before they return. It will be the first pictures that I will have of their affair. They don't know what contract Rick is signing tonight. They think that I am giving Rick my mother's business. It is an agreement that will work for me. And if there is any money gone or missing, he will be paying it back. However, I am going to let him think he owns my mother's business. I know what is going to happen to my mother's business. It is going to go bankrupt, and millions of dollars will be missing. He will think that he can sell it to the highest bidder. It is going to take time, but I'm going to stop the transaction. I am going to make him pay back every penny. And I am not going to marry him. I have to figure out a way to get out of the marriage. That is not my problem right now. I am going to take it one day at a time.

They don't even see me as they slip past me onto the balcony. I quickly follow them and stand behind a plant. I record everything they say and do. I have decided I'm not going to take only pictures. I'm going to make a whole video. I smile as I hear the words coming from their mouths.

"Elena is so gullible, I cannot believe that she is going to give me her mother's business. I am going to sign those papers so quickly that before she can change her mind. Are you sure she's going to give it to her lawyers to transfer everything to my name? It's a shame if she also does not want to give her father's business to me. But we can wait for that. We are going to have everything she owns, and you are going to be my queen. I love you. Anna, you are so beautiful," Rick says.

"We just have to be patient, my darling. We will have everything that is hers. I love you, Rick," Anna answers as they melt into each other's arms. Their kiss is passionate. No wonder Rick always kissed me like I was a high school girl. I walk back inside my phone, safely tucked into my purse.

"I see you know about their affair. What are you planning, Miss White?" The stranger with the dark eyes asked me as I walked back into the banquet hall.

"I do not discuss my private business with strangers. Call me Elena. Who are you?" I ask.

"I am Hunter West. Now that we know each other, will you tell me what you are planning?" Hunter asks.
