Anyone could tell Andrew was beyond stressed, his worry for Aileen was quite evident since he asked me every hour or so if she had reached out to me and my answer was always the same. I knew it was something he didn't want to hear but it was for the best. If I told him a lie, I wasn't so sure he'd believe me and if he did and found out I was lying, he would just worry even more.
I couldn't blame him. If it were Alex the one going with Aileen, I'd be acting the same way. Thankfully and to my relief, she hadn't tried to go with Aileen and Kalani, instead, she kept her nose buried in books and I wasn't sure if it was to find something to help us with or if it was just a way for her to keep her mind at ease. Whatever the case, I didn't disrupt her and I read along with her.
