I'm rooted on the spot as I watch Kain get off the desk before he approaches in slow steps.
My heart feels like it's on fire at the sight of him. It's pounding away right now; so hard that I can feel it in my ears. Excitement flushes throughout my body at the mere thought that we're all alone in this deserted building, and the intensity of his eyes on me makes me perfectly immobile.
