"Mom?" I call the moment I walk through the door.
"In the kitchen!"
I walk into the kitchen, and I smile at both Mom and Mandy who are seated at the island. They're giggling and drinking wine, and for the first time since last night, it hits me just how much they look alike. They both have beautiful hazel eyes and brown hair, and their face structure is almost similar if not actually identical.
Mandy beams at me over the rim of her wineglass.
"You and Kain finally talked, didn't you?"
"What? Why?"
"You're obviously very happy and excited; nothing like last night. You can't even stop smiling."
I glance at Mom who's raising an eyebrow at me.
"Uh..I have to go."
