I'm on my way out as soon as class is over.
I text Jade to meet me at the cafe and she replies a short second later, saying she'll tag Kara along.
Their friendship is still on the rocks; still a little weird, but I guess they're working on it.
Personally, I like Kara a lot, the Tatiana stepsister thing notwithstanding. She's very kind despite the devil-may-care attitude, and her opinions on random things always leave me with a frown.
I like that she doesn't always follow the crowd.
"Hey, shortcake?" Jay's voice stops me in my tracks.
I turn around, instantly heaving a sigh of relief when I notice he's alone.
Before I say anything, he's grabbing my arm and dragging me towards the cafeteria.
"You didn't sit in your spot today. That hurt my feelings." He pouts.
"I'm sorry."
