Catching up

Daniel pulls up outside a café down the street from home. We easily find a vacant corner table for two. The place is quite deserted since it's getting late, and the few people who are still here are either having intimate conversations or lost in their thoughts. As I sit directly opposite Daniel, I realize this is the very first time I'm in a position to have an actual conversation with him. He has always been busy with work while I've been too busy with school and friends to get time to know him. It's been quite a while since we moved here yet I know almost nothing about him.
