Chante Freddie and I returned home after a grueling shift and I could see my mother’s eyes shining as we told her about the excitement of the day. We were finishing each other’s sentences basically over dinner and when dinner was over and Freddie left us alone so he could take a shower, I just knew what she was going to say. “I am so happy that the two of you have made up.” The spark in her eyes told me she knew there was more going on than what we were willing to admit in front of her. “Mom, there is nothing going on, and we didn’t make up.
