Attack

Madison's POV

I knock on the door desperately and a few seconds later the door being opened by my sleepy looking uncle making me feel guilty to wake him up. But right now, I need him more than anything. When he notices me he frowns in confusion not understanding what I am doing here at this hour of night.

"Can I sleep with you?" I ask playing with my thumbs.

"Umm, yes get inside." He answers and opens the door widely to let me in. I walk to the bed and lie down on the left side because I know my uncle likes to sleep on the right side. I hear the sound of the door closing and after a while, he comes to bed before laying down beside me.

"What happen to you? And why does your face look so pale?" He asks.

"What will you do if I tell you that I have found my mate?” I ask biting my lips.

"Are you for real?" He asks back looking at me with surprise in which I nod my head in response.

"Who is it and why haven't you introduce him to me?" He remarks making me sigh.

"You know, I don't want a mate from the start and wanted to reject him as soon as I find him. But..." I stop talking while remembering my conversation with Ava.

"Don't tell me you have already rejected him." I shake my head in response.

"I didn't get to reject him because he rejected me before I could do that." I let out making him gasp.

"The f**k!" He exclaims loudly making me roll my eyes.

"Please tell me who it is so that I can beat his ass for rejecting you." I chuckle knowing my uncle is not joking.

"I will tell you his name but not now. Right now I have more important things to tell you." I reply before starting to tell the situation over at the Blue Moon Pack.

"I think you should go there along with Ariel and Dylan. So, that Alpha Alessandro doesn't attack our pack for no reason." He says making me sigh.

"Don't you think it should be Alpha Nolan who needs to solve the matter?" I remark.

"Yes, you are right but at the same time Nolan can't leave the pack territory because Dylan should go with you to talk to him mate's big brother." He says making sense.

However, before I can reply I feel like something is wrong. Immediately I mind link the guys who are patrolling around the border but none of them replies which is odd. Suddenly, I hear a loud painful howl making me run down the stairs in a hurry because I know what's happening.

"What's going on?" Dylan asks coming out of his room.

"We are under attack." Nolan informs and turns towards Pearl who nods her head already what to do.

"I will take the pups and elders to the safe room." Pearl says and rushes out of there.

"Madison, you along with your team go towards the north side of the border from where the sound of howl has come." Nolan orders in which I nod my head. He then turns towards Dylan and asks him to take care of the packhouse because the attackers can come for the packhouse any time.

"I am going towards the south side of the border where the patrolling is a little loose for some days." Nolan declares and with that everyone starts running out of the house for their estimated job.

Along with ten warriors, I run towards the north where I find some of our pack members who are dead. I look around but can't find anyone which is not good at all. Whoever has attacked the pack is clearly playing with us.

"I know you will be here." I turn around to face the man who is standing with more than fifty rogues behind him.

"What do you want?" I ask in a calm tone because I can't lose my control.

"Can't you see? Its simple Master wants you and the luna of this pack. So, we are here to take you both with us." The ugly man answers showing me his yellow teeth.

"Eww! This man doesn't even brush his teeth." Ava remarks in my head.

"That's why it will be easier to break them." I reply with a smirk.

"Who is your master?" One of the warriors asks standing beside me with a deep voice indicating that his wolf is also speaking at the same time.

"That's none of your business, pup. Get away from here and let me take her or the outcome won't be good for you all." The man threatens resulting in me releasing a growl at him.

"Don't you dare to talk to my pack member like that." I let out but all he does is smirk in return.

I don't let him talk anymore and change into my white wolf before baring my razor-sharp teeth at them making them halt.

Without any warning, I leap onto the man who was talking nonsense and bite his left hand hard. However, he throws me on the side and changes into a gray color wolf.

We start circling each other and I can hear the others do the same before the chaos break loose. The warriors of our pack are quick to kill most of the rogues mercilessly whoever comes in their sight.

The gray wolf is a good fighter and also very powerful but his reflection is much slower than mine and I use that as my advantage. Just as he aims for the neck I swipe my right paw on his snout harshly breaking the skin and he falls to the ground. Then I bite on his underbelly and start shaking his body like a rag doll resulting in him release a painful whimper that sounds like music to my ear.

Finally, he faints due to the pain and just then I release him. I could have killed him but he will help answer who has ordered him to attack us and also I am curious to know who is this master he was talking about.

"Alpha the north border is clear and I have captured a rogue from whom we can get information about the sudden attack." I let Nolan know through the mind link.

"The south border is also cleared and we have killed all the rogue. However, we have lost two warriors." Nolan replies making me sigh.

"We are coming back." I answer before turning to look at the warriors who have accompanied me.

"Alpha has asked us to go back to the packhouse and also we have lost two of our warriors." I inform them.

"Are you alright, Head Warrior?" One of them asks looking at the bite marks.

"I am alright so let get back to the packhouse." I order.

We then run towards the packhouse and change into our human forms before wearing clothes to hide the nudity. I feel a body collides with me making me fall on the ground but then I realize by the smell that it's none other than Ariel who is crying badly.

"Shh, don't cry. I am completely fine." I tell her still laying on the ground.

"Something could have happened to you. Why don't you take care of yourself?" She asks getting up and help me in getting up too.

"I have to do my duty which is to protect the pack." I reply petting her on her cheek making her pout.

"Come with me and let me clean your wounds." She says and tugs me with her inside the packhouse.

Ariel has become extremely close to me over the short time she has been here. She says that she feels safe around me as if I can keep her away from any harm. I don't know why she feels like that, but Ava thinks that it because of my role in her big brother's life

"Here you go." Ariel says after she is done putting ointment on the few scratches I have gotten during the fight.

"Thanks." I tell her sincerely.

"You know, you are really the correct person who is needed by the Blue Moon Pack as their luna." She remarks with a sigh.

"Why are you saying that?" I ask in wonder.

"Because the members of the pack think that women are only good for taking care of the children and doing household work. I am a warrior myself but never got to participate in any of the wars. But seeing the way you handled the situation today, I am 100% sure that you will be able to change their point of view." She replies.

"So you mean to say that your big brother, the alpha of your pack also thinks woman as a weakling?" I wonder aloud.

"Hmm, you are right. After the death of our mother, our father has been the one to look after us and Alessandro is very close to him. So, he believes whatever our father says." I can't believe my ears because how can the alpha of the strongest pack in the world have such small thinking about women.

"I know what you are thinking. But I don't blame Alessandro because he is the one who has been giving me training behind our father's back." Now I am confused as hell.

"Then why did you say that he thinks women are weak compare to males?" I ask.

"That's what you need to find out. I have heard about both of your conversation during Merrick's reception party. But my silly brother doesn't even know how strong you are, maybe much stronger than most of our male pack members. So, go there and show him what he is missing out. Show my father that his opinion on women is completely wrong. Show them all that a woman can run the pack the way a man does." She says holding my hands in her.

To be honest, at first, I did not feel like going to that pack at all, but after listening to all the things Ariel just told me, it seems that place needs me the most. Their misconceptions about women will have to be changed and at the same time, I have to meet the man who is putting such stupid things on people's minds.

"Don't you worry, I will definitely be going there and change their mindset for sure." I reply with an assuring smile.

"Thank you so much." She says before hugging me gently making me chuckle. I am happy that she is going to be a part of the Red Crescent Pack because now she doesn't have to worry about anyone's unnecessary opinion.

"Oh, I have another thing to tell you." She lets out.

"And what is it?" I ask amusingly.

"I don't know how you will be feeling after hearing what I have to say, but please keep your cool. There is someone who is very close to Alessandro, actually more closer than I which is not shocking as that person behaves like the luna of the pack. I am not going to say her name or anything about her." She explains making my blood boil. So, my so-called mate already has someone to call his luna and that's why he has rejected me.
