Meeting The Other Woman

MADISON'S POV

My senses are overwhelmed with the smell of saltwater as I stand at the very edge of the cliff. The tips of my feet are hanging off. I look and remember how it's like to be free, to flow freely through the air, to be weightless. That feeling which I can experience only in combat, The purpose of my breathing.

The ocean under me smashes into the cliff of rock. The water, each time it touches the rock, attempts to ascend higher and higher, causing its playful mist to rise to me. Around me, the cloud has settled, blurring the world from my sights. I can hear the waves roaring, battling for the title of the biggest, I can hear the birds zipping through the clouds, diving to the surface of the ocean.

There is always something making sounds when the world around you is never totally still, you just need to listen. Listen to the tiniest pieces of sounds that have existed from things you forgot. Such as a cricket's chirp on a humid summer night, or a firefly's faint buzz.

I close my eyes as I feel myself lean forward slightly. My whole body dropped forward, freely descending into the sea. But suddenly, a hand holds me back from falling.

"Are you out of your mind?" Alpha Alessandro yells turning me around.

"What are you doing here?" I ask pushing him away.

"First you tell me, why are you going to jump into the water?" He retorts looking extremely angry but I don't understand what's with him.

"I can do whatever I want. I am not answerable to anyone." I reply glaring at him.

"When did I say that you can't do whatever you want? I just want to know why you wanted to jump in the water?" He asks making me sigh knowing that if I don't tell him then he will not leave me alone.

"Look, if you thought I was going to commit suicide, get that out of your mind. I know swimming very well and have been a swimming champion in my school. And if you still don't believe in me, you can call Alpha Nolan and ask about it because I am used to jumping from heights." I reply putting my hands on my hip.

"But what are you doing here? You should be in your office at this time." I remark looking at him.

"Everyone is looking for you because you came here without informing. By the way, you were in the training ground, so why did you suddenly come here?" He asks.

"Because your warriors were warming my mind, that's why I was thinking why not take a little swimming to calm my mind." I reply sarcastically.

"They are not used to seeing girls in the training ground." He answers casually.

"But that does not mean that they should be insulting someone else or me." I retort rolling my eyes.

"Fine, I will tell them not to insult you. Now happy?" He says.

"No, thanks. I can handle my problems on my own. You tell me the main reason for you to be here." I let out with a sigh.

"Ariel and Dylan are going back today. So, I am wondering if you are going back too or not." He says looking unsure.

"Do you have amnesia?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

"No.." He replies looking at me with confusion.

"Then why are you asking whether I am going back or not when I have already told you that unless I train the girls here, I am not going anywhere." I reply.

"Ariel also wants you to stay here and train the girls." He says making me smirk.

"Thank Goddess, here is someone who is not as mentally impaired as you." I let out while he glares at me as if I have offended him.

"You can stay here but I have one condition." He says.

"Say what's the condition?" I let out.

"You won't tell anyone who I am to you or who are you to me. Accept it or not, I am never going to accept you because I love someone else and the sooner you understand this, the better." He says looking at me blankly.

It would be a lie if I say that I don't mind his words, but I can't even tell the truth because I don't want him to see my flaws.

"I have no need to tell anyone anything, I am here for only for one purpose and that is to train the girls in your pack and after that I will go back to my pack." I reply glaring at him.

It's been 2 weeks since Ariel and Dylan left. I too have mingled with the pack members here and if I tell the truth, I like it here. I love Red Crescent Pack but there is something different about this pack.

When I say something and the pack members here believe that. I get different happiness by seeing their respect towards me. Yes, indeed, most of the males are still not happy with me being here but there are some of the males who have accepted my idea of training the female quite nicely.

I still remember when about a week ago an old lady told me that she sees the future of this pack in me. Amanda was with me at that time and she told me that the she has heard that whatever the old lady says turns out to be true.

I don't want to build my hopes up because the contact between me and Alpha Alessandro is still the same as before. I can understand from his gesture that he does not like at all that I am staying here.

"Madison, I want to introduce you to someone." Amanda says coming inside my bedroom. But she is not alone, there is a girl who looks the same age as me walking beside her.

"You are not busy, are you?" Amanda asks making me look at her with a smile.

"I can never be too busy for you. Tell me what you want to talk about." I let out.

"I was thinking for a long time that I want to introduce someone to you. But I was not able because she had to complete her college projects." Amanda says pointing at the girl standing beside her who is surely a human.

"You are so beautiful, what is your name?" I ask gently as the girl looks too fragile.

"I am Isabella Gomez. Nice to meet you." I smile at Isabella but Ava is not liking her at all.

"Nice to meet you too. By the way, if you don't mind can I ask you something?" I let out as both the girls sit on the bed.

"Yes, sure." Isabella replies softly.

"You are a human, right?" I ask curiously because it's not everyday that you see human in a werewolf pack.

"Yes, I am." Isabella replies.

"Then what are you doing here?" I ask in which she blushes furiously making me confused.

"You are just so innocent, Bella. Okay, let me answer this question for you then." Amanda says teasingly before turning to face me with excitement.

"She is Alpha Alessandro's girlfriend and going to be the luna of this pack." My eyes widen while Ava is ready to pounce on the human sitting in front of us.

"So, this is the girl for whom our mate has rejected us?" Ava spat in distaste.

"Calm down for now." I reply.

"Oh, that's great. But what about his mate?" I ask making Isabella looks down sadly.

"Alessandro has told me that he will reject his mate for me. But frankly speaking, I don't want that. I have heard so much about mates that I believe he should accept whoever his mate is." Isabella replies gently while I sigh realizing that I can't blame her for Alpha Alessandro's actions.

"You don't need to worry that much. If Alpha Alessandro has said that he will reject his mate for you, then he will do that at any cost." I reply while Amanda nods her head agreeing with me.

"I know that mate is a big deal for us but I also feel that if someone doesn't like her or his mate then they should not be with them." Amanda lets out.

"I don't know about you but I can tell that this human girl is not good. She is just putting up a show for everyone to believe. Don't you remember Ariel's words? She mentioned that there is someone in this pack who behaves like the luna. But by looking at this human, anyone will believe in her two-faced behavior." Ava growls with a valid point.

"Let's not talk about it right now." I let out before she can say anything.

I am also angry seeing the other woman of my mate but I can't act on impulse. I don't even know if this Isabella girl is indeed good or bad so it will be better for me to keep quiet for some time.
