Accepting The Bond

ALESSANDRO'S POV
Finally, I have gotten the location where the hunters have kept Madison and along with my warriors, we are already heading there. Alpha Nolan too has decided to join me in rescuing Madison as he sees her as his little sister.
I have again left Merrick in the charge of the pack although he wanted to come with me. I know that he also wants to save his friend but we can't neglect the pack's safety for the rescue.
After running for two hours, we finally reach the area but just as we planned, we hide behind the bushes. It's good that they are humans so they can't smell us. It's still feel like a shame to me that Madison was so close to me yet it took me one month to find her. I just hope that I am not too late to reach here.
"I think the cost is clear." Giovanni says through the mind link and he is not wrong. The people guarding the rundown warehouse seem only a few hundred while we are 4000 in numbers.
"Divide the warriors in four groups. Each groups will have me, Alpha Nolan, Giovanni and Alpha Marcus as the leaders." I order and everyone get back to work.
When the groups are divided, we again change into our wolf forms and attack the hunters who are surrounding the warehouse. I don't know how many hunters I have killed by now because my rage has completely taken over by now.
Suddenly, a group of wolves emerge from nowhere and start attacking the warriors. By looking at them I can tell that they are not rogues but they are not from any of the packs in the world.
A grey wolf tries to bite me on the neck thinking that I might have not seen it but alas I am not that dumb. I swiftly turn around and s***h my claws over its nose making it whimper. However, someone or should I say another wolf attack me from behind by biting onto my left hind leg pretty badly which makes me lose my balance. I fall on the ground giving them upper hand in attacking me.
However, Giovanni and Alpha Nolan tackle them away from me while I sprint towards the warehouse because both Damon and I are sure that our Madison is inside. I dodge every bullet some of the hunters fire towards me.
Finally I reach a metal door from where I can get a whip of my mate's intoxicating smell. Mustering all my energy, I bang my body into the door making it flying away. However, the scene that greet me has me nearly falling onto my knees.
The strongest shewolf, my mate that I have never cared about is lying on the floor covered with so many bruises that I don't think I will be able to count them. Not caring about the filthy smell that is emitting from her, I run straight to her before crouching down to her level.
"Change into your human form." Damon growls seething in anger.
Without replying to him, I change into my human form and pick Madison's unconscious body in my arms. This time I can't hold back my tears from falling. I don't care who sees me crying because right now I am just happy to finally found my mate.
"Have you found Madison?" Giovanni asks.
"Yes, get me a blanket." I order not wanting anyone to look at her naked body.
I walk out with her in my my arms and soon reach outside. Thankfully everyone turn around while Giovanni cover her body with a big blanket.
"The car is here." Alpha Nolan says looking with a pain expression at Madison who hasn't stir a bit.
I nod my head without saying anything and get into the car before the driver starts the car. I keep murmuring soothing words in my mate's ear thinking she may respond. But yet she doesn't respond breaking my heart.
She has become so light weight that I am thinking if I have put a pup on my lap. I can't even imagine the pain she has to endured because of those hunters. However, I am also responsible for her the condition because I have never appreciated her. Maybe that's why ahe could never tell me that she found out about the Hunters.
"I can't feel Ava." Damon says worriedly.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"I mean that it seems Ava has vanished. First I thought that as I was away from her I couldn't communicate with her. But now it seems she is not here with us." He replies scaring me for my mate's Wolf's safety.
"Don't worry, Damon. I am sure she will be okay once she gets checked." I let out hoping that my thoughts won't turn out to be wrong.
Soon enough the car reach the pack ground and I quickly run into the medical wing so that the doctor can check on my mate. Upon seeing me, many bows their heads in respect but right now I can't think about anything else other than saving my mate.
"Alpha, who is it?" Dr. Luke asks looking at me worriedly.
"It's Madison, you need to save her." I let out making his eyes widen.
"Oh, Goddess! What have they done to this poor girl. Please come inside this room and let me treat her." He says making me follow him into the examination room.
He tells me to put Madison on the bed which I do but when two nurses go to take off the blanket I let out loud growl making them tremble. I hold my mate protectively not wanting anyone to see her like this.
"Alpha, please you need to let us treat her or it might be late to save her." Dr. Luke says making me hold his neck in a tight grip.
"You need to treat her fast and if you don't then get ready to die. I don't care what you have to do but save my mate at any cost." I threaten without realising that I revealed about my connection with Madison.
"Mate..." I hear a voice making me turn around to see that Amanda along with Madison's uncle is standing in the doorway.
Dr. Luke that as his chance and push me outside the room before locking it from inside. I go to break it but someone holds from back. I try to get away while thrashing side to side but the person's hold on me only tightened.
"Stop it, Alessandro. They need to treat her and if you keep interrupting them they won't be able to save her on time." Merrick says making me stop protesting.
"She will be okay, right?" I ask looking at my best friend.
"Of course she will be. If she is still alive after all the torture she had to endured then she will definitely go through her treatment too." He replies putting his hands on my shoulders.
"Alpha Alessandro, why are you calling my niece your mate?" Nicholas asks making me gulp.
"Yes, Alpha. I am also curious." Amanda says looking confused.
By looking at them I know I need to accept the reality of my bond with Madison. I don't know if she will be angry or happy that I am finally accepting our bond but I will not wait any longer. I will declare to everyone what she is to me.
"Madison is my mate." I answer without hesitation.
"But if she is your mate then why none of you said anything before?" Merrick asks.
"Because on the day of your wedding when I got to know that she is my mate, I rejected her." I reply making everyone's eyes widen while I look down in shame.
Shame for not listening to my wolf. Shame for not accepting Moon Goddess wish. Shame for going against the rules. Shame for not being able to save Madison from the hands of hunters. Shame for hiding the real identity of Madison from the pack.
Suddenly a hand collide with my face making my face turn around while blood oozing out of the corner of my lips.
