MADISON'S POV

My eyes seem very heavy yet I want to open them. But I don't know how to do that. I want to feel my surroundings, to touch every objects, to see every little thing.

Suddenly, a soft yet warm hand cover my eyes and a serge of power run through my veins making me jolt. Soon the hand leave my eyes making me open my eyes instantly. But I have to close them as the sun rays are targeting my eyes directly.

"Sun, stop playing with this poor girl." I hear a melodic voice beside me so I slowly open my eyes and look at the source of the voice.

I don't think I have ever seen such a beautiful woman in my life. Her long white hair, her blue eyes, her pink lips, her slender figure everything feels like too perfect to be real. I am not sure if it's any trick or she is really a person.

"How are you feeling, my child?" The woman asks and that's when I remember about me being hostage in Isabella's hands.

I look around frantically expecting to be in that horrible room but I get shocked seeing the room which is made of pure grass. Actually it's not a room, it's a beautiful field which is full of nature.

"How are you feeling, dear?" The lady says making me look at her in question.

"Who are you?" I ask looking at her in all white attire.

"I am Lunar or should I say Moon Goddess." She replies making my eyes widen.

"Really?" I ask because it's unbelievable.

"Yes, my child. I am saying the truth." She replies gently while caressing my face tenderly.

"But what am I doing here? Am I dead already?" I ask because this is the first thing come into my mind or why I am meeting the Goddess.

"You are here because I want to have an important talk with you. It's not like you have other things to do other than keep sleeping in your hospital bed." She remarks making me more confused.

"What are you trying to say? Me in hospital bed?" I ask looking around but I don't see any bed.

"Yes, you're in hospital right now after Alessandro rescue you from the hunters. However, you are now put into a medically induced coma as you didn't wake up after 72 hours of waiting. Everyone close to you are praying for your speedy recovery as well as Alessandro. But what they don't know that it will be taking a long time for you to gain consciousness." She answers.

"Goddess, can I ask you something?" I let out in which she smiles at me before nodding her head in response.

"Why did you choose Alessandro as mate when you definitely know from the start that he would never accept me? Not only that, I too never wanted a mate for myself." I ask the question that is running through my mind for so long.

"I will answer your question but first tell me why you haven't accepted the rejection and don't give me the same excuse you have given your mate that you want to make things better for the shewolves of the Blue Moon Pack." She says making me gulp not knowing what to reply. Because at first that was my only concern but then things started to change.

"Your silence is telling me that what I think is the truth. You didn't only stay there for the wellbeing of the shewolves but also for your mate. You might not understand but your heart has started to accept Alessandro despite his rude behaviour. This is the charm of matebond. Now to answer your questions, I have chosen Alessandro as your mate because only you have the guts to challenge him in his decisions. He has been raised by learning from his father that women are beneath men and that's why he never tried change the rules in his pack. So, he needed a person who has the same level of anger and power as him. You may not accept it but in real sense you have alpha blood in you and the year long training have made you a lot stronger than many alphas of the world. Not only that, you also needed someone who can make you fall in love without doing anything as you have lost your belief in love or mate bond." She explains looking at me.

"If both of us are perfect for each other then why he rejected me?" I ask.

"Just as I have told you, he is raised learning all his life that a woman should not have power over a man. So, for him to learn that his fated mate in the head warrior is quite a shock. Also, he was already in a relationship so he did the first thing came to his mind which is to reject you." She replies making full sense.

"But now what should I do? I can't accept him after the things I have to go through." I let out.

"Who told you that you will accept him so easily? Not only him but all those people who thought that you were doing bad by taking sides of the shewolves will repent their mistakes. I have made everyone equal but some people forget what's wrong and what's right." She replies with a smirk which makes me wonder what is going inside her head.

"What are you planning to do?" I ask.

"Nothing much, just going to keep your body in coma for some months." She replies as if it's not a big deal.

"But my family, friends they will be worried." I reason out.

"I know that but sometimes you have to give up some things to get something. This time it is your turn for self respect which you have to get. I know that you are very strong from outside, but I also know that you also get scattered in your mind. But now you have to harden your mind too because this is just the beginning because more difficulties are going to come in your life ahead." She replies before asking me to look ahead where from nowhere a screen appears.

My breath catch in my throat seeing the devasted look of my uncle, Amanda, Alpha Nolan, Merrick, Giovanni and especially Alessandro who are waiting outside a hospital room. Then I notice inside the room where I am laying down on a bad while various wires are connected to my body.

"They look so worried for me." I let out while a tear slip past my eyes.

"Yes, they are because they are thinking that they haven't protected you." She says putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Then why am I not going to them? I can't see them suffer because of me." I let out looking back at her.

"Just as I said earlier you need to make your mind strong because you will be needing that later. There is going to be a big war between the hunters and the werewolves where you will be the leader of the werewolves." She says making me gasp.

"But why me?" I ask in confusion.

"Because you're the chosen one. You and Alessandro are the most powerful werewolves I have ever created so you need to work together to defend the enemy. But to do that first you both need to make things better between each other because only then you will be able to feel the power that your bond can create." That's all she says before I feel myself sleeping into the darkness.
