“You’re late.” I was trying to make amends here and that was the first thing that came out of my mouth.

“I know. And I’m sorry. I’m really sorry for making you wait for weeks. We have lost a month because of me.”
“When did you get here? Why didn’t you wake me up? Were you just watching me sleep?” I consciously brushed my hair back, not wanting it to look like a bird’s nest.
“I was here about thirty minutes ago. So, yeah, I was watching you sleep for thirty minutes. I didn’t want to wake you up. You need the rest and you have already waited for me too much.”
Even if I wanted to keep being angry with Aaron for being late; his closeness was making me weak.
I slowly sat up and he followed my movement.
