Alpha Annie’s POV “Morning…” Kade says gently walking over to stand behind me as I look through the gap in the curtains towards the palace in the distance. “Morning.” I sigh in return as he puts his arms around me, resting his chin on my shoulder. “Did you get any sleep at all last night?” he whispers sadly. I shake my head. “No… I couldn’t sleep.” “Me either.” We stand in silence for a few moments, taking what little comfort we can from each other’s embrace. “I’m just so scared for them both, Kade. Neither of them deserve this. They are both such beautiful souls. They would never hurt a fly and now… the situation is just so f****d up, I would do anything to change it.” He nods his head before kissing my shoulder softly. “I know… I would too, but we have to stay hopeful.
