Dave didn’t stay for long. Ella wasn’t planning on telling him this early anyway. Maybe after a few days have passed, she would have the courage to tell him.
Still, instead of making her feel better, it made her feel worse. Her imagination run wild and came up with many bad scenarios, where he rejects her and the baby. She tried thinking in the opposite direction, imagining him as excited to hear it… but then, that would be unrealistic, too. At most, he would be confused at first… whatever.
Ella already feels tired just thinking what the next few months and years would bring. She would work her ass off to save as much money as she could. She’s determined this time. The baby is not going to hinder her plans. She won’t disappoint her parents. She would do as she promised.
