Dave did tell her that he has something to do out of town for a few days, but Ella became worried when she couldn’t contact him for a few days already. He’s not responding to her text messages and he’s not answering her calls. Actually, her calls wouldn’t even connect. These made her feel agitated.
A couple of times, she went to drop by at his house, which is understandably locked since he’s out of town. She thought he’s visiting his parents or something.
