Rose POV
“Are you together now?” Cheryll asked with a demanding tone.
I knew this question would come up but didn’t expect it to be this early. My answer was ready, but I was not the one being asked. Looking up at Jace, I saw a big smile on his face. He opened his mouth to answer but was abruptly cut off by another shout.
“Rose! I didn’t know you would be here! Come, I want you to meet some people.” Debbie appeared out of nowhere. “Son, I’m glad you brought Rose,” she said to Jace while she gave him a hug.
It looked like Jace deliberately did not tell people that I would be coming. I greeted her with a kiss on the cheek but I couldn’t form any greeting as she was reprimanding Jace nonstop about letting everyone know I was going to be at the party.
